Over 150 Bold & Beautiful swimmers
enjoy a fantastic fun filled morning with gorgeous, vibrant people who have beautiful hearts and lovely smiles πΒ It’s no wonder we’re Manly’s most popular daily drama… who wouldn’t be attracted to be a part of this !

This morning the ocean was a bit of a fairground with multiple attractions.Β First up, the wave machine

plus you can always get your photo taken with a local celebrity while you wait in the queue

then there’s the big dipper with a birds eye view of Manly as you reach the top

and the roller coaster as you swim across the bay

A few good deeds to be done along the way too as Anna salvaged this rashie from the ocean floor, saving some poor marine creature from getting caught up in it.

Ian F likes to do it Goerge Formby style… MUST LISTEN HERE… !!! π

The lovely Shelly pit stop, with some words of encouragement for the return trip

Some people set off hard on the “Let’s Go”

Others prefer to take it easy and ‘lay low’

The under water viz wasn’t all that clear today, but it was clear enough to see I had a friendly entourage accompany me some of the way

My view from the front of a little wave that I actually managed to catch

It wasn’t a patch on the wave Wilf watched Scott M catch though… all the way from the point to
the sand !!Β Wilf wants to sign up for some lessons please Scott π
Everyone enjoying another fabulous, healthy start to their day !

Far more fun than a fairground!!
Yes, Lips announced there’d be no blog-tarting today as he was laying low:-)
Good news: Sunday’s Mystery Blogging will be starting soon. Tim Ettle has kindly agreed to be in charge and promises to swim again. We’ve recruited two Mystery Back-up Bloggers and are now holding auditions for more Mystery Bloggers to make cameo appearances. Please let me or Jules know if interested or willing.
(note: you’ll have to learn the tricks of the trade from Jules or another Blogger. E-Lane will assure anyone that it’s simple and stress-free:-))

Oh Ian – that hilarious George Formby song REALLY took me back – just as good as “When I’m Cleaning Windows”, and so apt for your adventurous early morning activities.

Your photos are amazing Jules! Don’t know how you do it. You always make the swim sound so exciting we can’t wait to come back for more! Love the fairground analogy.Greg McDonaugh’s smiley face is fantastic. So many inspiring people!!!
Hope the newbies come back. They should feel very proud doing the swim today with the surf and the sight of the bluebottle attack at the beginning. (Hope the guy is Ok.)

Great blog Sarah. Friendly, witty, and intelligent.
I am slightly astounded that Matt has so easily located and photographed the rare (thought to be extinct) Bradless Lucy.
After months of tracking, two rare sightings AND photographic evidence in one day.
I can’t help but think that some people are trying to play tricks with my mind. Well done.

I am still following with interest from afar! Michael C’s 900 km is a fantastic achievement, and puts our Thames efforts here in the UK into perspective! As a matter of interest, over what period have the Pacific Challenge distances been accumulated?
