More than 222 happy and fearless Bold and Beautiful swimmers didn’t even give a thought to marine stingers this morning … and this is why:

– Over 222 Swimmers!
– 31 for the 6k!
– 13 new swimmers!
– 1 for the Bolderdash
Nice, warm and flat… just like English beer.. (if you like that sort of thing!?)
As Jules gets ready to depart for WA and a life of study and exams….It’s probably a good time to introduce the next Dear Leader ……Simon Cowell:

Simon is taking time out from his other careers as a dolphin trainer and male catwalk supermodel, to run the Bold and Beautiful folders in the morning. So if you have spent all winter thinking “I really would like to go down and do that swim one day..” (and I’m convinced that’s at least half of Manly) then he’s the man to see. Come on.. do it now… this is the best time of year! There’s no excuse … it is the best thing you will ever do… guaranteed or your money back!
Just look at that footwear ladies….

Welcome back Rob

Congratulations to Helen this morning… she is our newest Blog tart 🙂

It really felt good this morning.. the water was warm and flat, everyone looked like they had a good nice sleep… it really was just a happy vibe:

Can’t you just feel it?

Get that flipper on.. you’re in our shot

The point was nice and relaxed and it looks like the fan club on the point is getting bigger:

So… this morning I decided I’d go for the “Blogging without Flippers” badge, which requires pics of fish.. here they are:

Shelly was great.. it’s good to see we have a few tourists on weekends..

Look at this cute couple!

Welcome, Murphys!

…and a few start line jumpers… they know who they are!

Time to go…
*Important* –
This is an message to all of you who have fridges at home.
(If you do not have a fridge please disregard this message.)
If you do have a fridge, this is what it should look like:

Note the Bold and Beautiful calendar in the upper right corner. If you do not have a B&B calendar yet your fridge is nowhere near it’s full potential. A B&B calendar will make you more popular, and desirable to the opposite sex and will add resale value to your fridge!
If you don’t have one please see Jules – she’s ready to take your call – now! You can also order them online here
Finally…. this is Annie:

In happier days, she looked like this:

Sadly, Annie’s smurf suit has gone missing! If anyone happens to be going to a “blue” party, or maybe even if you spot it on eBay please let us know.
Manly detectives have been investigating the disappearance and have a few leads. Earlier today a photfit image was released of a suspicious character hanging around her clothesline… please be on the lookout for this person:

See you all tomorrow!

Amazing what a difference a day makes. I didn’t see one stinger today. Hope they didn’t put people off yesterday.
Well done Nick on your 3rd Blog. It must have been hard getting photos of so many UNsmiley faces at the beginning!
I hope someone finds Annie’s smurf suit as if it doesn’t turn up she is going to owe Stephen C hundreds of $$$!!!
Well done to the amazing swimmers who swam 6kms today. Not sure who they all were but Little Sarah, Rainer and Rough Diamond (JS) were 1st Timers. (Oh not Little Sarah she’s on to her 2nd in training for the English Channel!) We’ll miss you Sarah and Jon. Come back from HK soon xx

Love your work Nick! In fact, I’m going to petition for a second blog day for you.. Maybe Mondays?
All hail our new leader Simon! How could anyone not trust a man in Birkenstocks!
Annie – I admit it. It was me who took the smurf suit. Got sick of you parading around in it, getting endless blog shots etc. Alas, you managed to get two shots out of having lost your smurf suit today! Looks like there’s no stopping you and your blog tarting ways..
Well done all 6k swimmers today. Especially my fellow first tImers!
Gotta run. Late for Patrol. Stephen is going to kill me if he finds out I’m chatting on the blog during patrol hours!!!

Hilarious Nick!!!! The smurf suit is highly sort after and therefore it is hardly surprising it has gone missing… with the camera lens drawn to its on-trend status and stylish wearability, it wouldn’t shock me to hear there are other possible leads besides Pappa smurf himself. Fellow vying blog tarts are all under suspicion I say….
Lovely swim this morning. And well done to the 6km bolds…awesome effort!

Wonderful blog Nick!
Just noticed that my son Tomas has now clocked up 30km on the Pacific Challenge! I can’t get over the progress you have made healthwise, Tomas. With the epilepsy apparently finally under control (fingers crossed) you are becoming such a strong swimmer.
Yet another reason to love the B&B. Thanks again Julie for starting it and for all your effort through the years to keep it going. So glad you have found the very competent Simon to take over that very important part of running the daily drama.

Wow! 30km? That is awesome and inspiring! Well done Tomas, you should be very proud. We are certainly very happy to see you each morning and hope you continue to join us for more swims!! Let’s keep our fingers crossed for more days like today… No stingers and crystal clear water= perfection!

Congratulations Tomas,
major effort, keep it up, so good for your health and to see you out there mixing it up! (make sure you blog it to let everyone know when you beat Anna across the bay)!
Nick another great blog, but what’s IN the fridge is also important!
DWSS, on a serious note of splitting hares and hairs, we need to adjudicate on the following. If someone doing the ‘windy six’ swim comes in to the beach at an acute angle and gets out 100 metres down the beach and walks the rest of the way should they be disqualified or is it OK given the ‘soft 10’ that was sanctioned and run recently? I heard from someone who did both that the ‘windy 6’ was actually much harder than the ‘soft 10’!!!!
Sarah and Jon travel safe!

Hahaha
Its all distance Johny boy.
Ill have you know that the exit point today was 5m from ramp and right next to the escalator rip.
Congratulations on your first 6K mate. well done
Congrats also to Drinky, Nips, LSSA, Brenton and Nat for your first Super 6K
Your all Legends.
btw Storchy, I am not going to give your soft 10 any credibility by answering that one.
I also note that I did not take the opportunity to grab a latte on the road during the swim so I reject the “soft” call.
