07/01/2013 – Dear Monday, I dont exactly hate you but if you were on fire and I had water, I would drink it.

07/01/201318

This homeless man (From freshie I think) has an issue with Monday’s

So do these ladies (Apparently from Dee Why), they find it quite manic

Even my pet cat has a problem with the first day of the week

But really there is no reason to hate Monday’s even though everyone seems to be going back to work. After all, its the first swim of the week and 116 B&B swimmers cannot be wrong….!

Although there were some grumpy faces…..

There were also some happy chappies

This german tourist seemed pretty happy too

Although apparenty the water was so cold it paralyzed you, it must be Monday.

My blog shoes found a friend today

The Monday waves washed away the bad vibes

And we decided to do the chicken dance

While Julia decided to do some Monday morning ironing

Jules was looking a bit worse for wear this morning, must be Monday-itis

Attracta tried to drown her to let out her Monday morning frustrations

We even had a new Snorkles for Monday!

I think I am becoming an underwater photographic expert, what a great shot 😉

Ze German tourist made it to Shelly!!! It’s a Monday miracle

The new art of photographing the photographer taking photos of blog tarts

Attracta must have given Emer tips on how to drown people, Monday’s are dangerous!

Signing off for now and enjoy your Monday…keep swimming and smiling. Sorry Annie, you got cropped!!! (Blame Monday)

107 regular B&B swimmers LOVE MONDAY!!!

9 Boulderdashers REALLY love Mondays

Dont forget that one of our lovely swimmers and his wife, Jonny and Di Schaffer have very kindly offered to host a farewell picnic for Julie and Michael from 5pm on Sunday 13th January in Clontarf.

It will be nice and relaxed so that everyone can enjoy themselves, so it would be great if people can bring their own ‘picnic’ and drinks OR a plate of finger food to share and drinks (including any utensils they may need incl glasses / beakers etc…) for themselves.

People can arrive anytime from 5pm, in time to watch the sun go down over our beautiful Sydney Harbour.

Everyone is most welcome, but to help give us an idea of numbers please could everyone RSVP (to another lovely swimmer) Cate Brockbank at catejb33@yahoo.com.au with their estimated time of arrival and in return Cate will reply with the address 🙂

You can also ask for details at the 7am swim as someone will know the address

If you haven’t bought a B&B calendar yet, hurry up! Not only are they selling out but January will be over soon and we dont do discounts 😉

Dont forget B&B Social evening at Murrays this Wednesday from 6.30pm. Everyone welcome, happy hour drinks and complimentary nibbles. PLEASE RSVP HERE

Thanks Rob, brought a smile to my face on the first day back at work, as did the photo of Susanna Hoffs 🙂

    Hi everyone,
My name is Jazzie and I am 6. I just want to thank everybody for the wonderful harbor swim yesterday and especially John Bond for helping me be brave and let my fear sink to the bottom of the ocean.
I hope you can all come tomorrow.

    Hi everyone,
My name is Laura and I am 6. I have had a great swim today and I loved seeing everyone all these kind people in pink caps swimming around. I have enjoyed being in the BnB and I love being part of such a great swim team.
I hope to see you all soon and I hope you come next time.

Mr Tourist, why are you currently over there and not over here nearer your home country?
I see you finally made it to Shelly Beach ……did everyone have to wait for you? You being the last person and all? I think when I return from my overseas visit, I too will be as slow as you 😉
Your rashie is a stand out ….as you will notice in Australia we tend not to wear such offending articles. I guess the fashion police are not as prevalent in your home country?
As for Gertrude ? Are you speaking of the not so Angelic Angel that visited the Christmas party and was kissing Hans? (Also known as Rob de Blog?)

Rob…. There is only one Snorkles ….could you please check who this imposter is? You will remember my snorkel is PINK …..I believe this one is lilac …or it might be the light due to your photography?

Rob, your blogs make me laugh! I especially like the interesting people from Dee Why and the strange man on the front! Bolderdash was lovely today! Fortunately, I can write anything now with complete anonymity since I am now the Amicable Axolotl ! you don’t see those often here in Australia, do you?

Perhaps not the appropriate forum, but I thought I would inquire anyway! Looking for a carpool from Manly to Chatswood in the morning to work…. my normal carpool friend is moving to San Francisco! If anyone drives that way in the morning after the swim, I am offering to pay FULL cost of petrol! And we can talk about swimming! a bonus! And you get to use the carpool lane! So it’s a win win win! If you know anyone who drives to Chatswood, please let me know!I can’t ride the bus in my wetsuit because the bus driver says it is frowned upon…sincerely, Amicable Axolotl (actually Lauren–gianino.saralauren@gmail.com) offering a commission if anyone can help me procure a ride!

Can help with some days to Chatswood until you find a regular ride. Otherwise, explain to the driver that you’re the Amicable Axolotl and that you’re a rare protected species and that if you were to revert to you’re true primitive (nude) aquatic state (that you normally get around in)that would be even more frowned upon. Or, you could get one of those black towelling cape things that ‘some’ people wear. Throw that over you’re wetsuit, (Why are you swimming with a wetsuit anyway? You must be beautiful if you’re getting out of the bold bit.) I’m sure the bus must be stationary long enough to thread arms and legs through some garments. Do the ‘bendy buses’ do the AM run to Chatswood? They have a nice central change room. No windows for privacy. There’s a few mirrors around for makeup and hair. Such a time saver! What else is there to do on the trip?
