08/03/2013 – Feelin’ chop chop chop

08/02/201340

As Anna the Super Friday Blogger is away today – I am doing a really quick fill in for her!

Weather wise it was a lovely start to the day – out in the water however… was choppy and churny – not that it stopped us though!

The water was warm and our jelly friends were still around.. I wonder if anyone has been stung by one yet?? (Do they sting??)

Oh and I lost all my photos of the ocean and the swim itself!! 🙁

So here’s some jellies to keep you going instead..

..and this one..
Isn’t it magnificant!? There were tiny fish living inside it!!

This is Little Sarah No.II … getting up to no good with a water filled balloon and a doctor from Old and Bold?!?!

The rest are Stephen’s photos…

Some CANTOO girls

Blog Tarts…unfortunately water blobs got on lens again!
Another jelly fish!?

From Stephen of name plates outside Bluewater cafe… I think it was for the John Wayne but I was more shocked that the name Wayne was there??? hehe

STATS:
155 Swimmers – 10 New people!!!
13 Boulderdash
4 Doubles

And from Simon Cowell…..

6am Bolderdashers
First shot shows that we left the clubhouse 23 minutes before sunrise
Bumpy ride to QC but a great swim with a closely paced group including two
of Patricks daughters from Manly Hospital – Jess & Jane

Ooh one last thing – Alex, Bill and Stephen got their kit off for the Daily Telegraph for an article on the Sydney Skinny Swim…. click for more info here WARNING NAKED BODIES!

Just in from “Doctor” Jules:

Comment away everyone!! Make up for the small blog!

signing off: Lesbutt

Dear Julie and Mike, how we miss you!
Please come back and we’ll cuddle and kiss you.
    Those damn Polar Bears –
    I mean really, who cares?
Look, honest, it’s just not an issue……

So glad you bolderdashers had such a jolly time all cosied up there at the headland…I managed to lose you all in the gloom and despite hearing some vague noises out there in the dark whenI got to Queensie, I had a very peaceful solo bolderdash.
So peaceful until a friendly blue bottle came to make friends with me. So don’t worry, I had some nice company. hee hee..
Note to self: you are demoted to the slow group.

Euuuwww it was a bit churny and a bit dirty getting in half way today and then something wrapped itself around me (no it was nude Stephen thank fully) and I thought it was a jelly….but it was some plastic file inserts that I took all the way to Shelly in the end!
I touched one of those jellyfish today …..by mistake and it didnt sting!
Thanks JK for letting me shout out ‘Lets go!’ Kylie said she could hear me right down the other end of the beach 🙂 (Blog Tarts please note …the shout will gain you extra spreddy points …I just made up that ‘rule’!)
    Happy weekend !

Fifi, so very brave of you … but please join us next time – we’d be most honoured, but you would have to swim in circles or tie your hands behind your back to stay with us:-)
And if you all thought that was dark 23 mins before sunrise, you should try coming out with us at 5.40, with black clouds too:-)
And who is it that always insists on wearing a yellow cap?
Snorkles – I think we get half a point each for Lesbutt’s funny “blobs on lens” pic:-)

    Good Luck Jules.
It won’t be too long before you can say – “Trust me, I’m a doctor”
I have tried it – “trust me, Im a builder” – it does not have the same impact.
    haha
    go girl!!!

On Australia Day, one of those jellyfish wrapped itself around my arm. I let it stay there for 10 seconds and then removed it. Its sting was just a buzzing sensation, and little dots were left.
    Nice photo of the nudies.
Interesting attire under the lab coat, Dr. Jules.
Hey 007, I can help out with the 10km swim on Feb. 23rd.

No mention of my early solo lap to Shelley this morning….Where were you Annette and little tiger?? A lot of debris but beautiful warm water amongst the plastic bags!!
Fifi I hope you warmed up after your lonely swim north!
Who’s up for the 6km in the morning?
Jules careful where you stick that stethoscope.

    08/02/2013 at 2:19 pm

Oi!!! Who is that wearing a YELLOW CAP in the bolderdash! As if I even need to ask.

  • lesley

    08/02/2013 at 2:37 pm

Yes Michael I just spotted it too!!!
It’s probably the same person I overheard this morning saying “the bolderdash is not really a group swim with BnB, everyone just does their own thing” … WHAT!?!
(ps. it wasn’t the same person – the yellow capper is just trying to make a statement I guess)? :-DD

Great photo Jules! Love the slightly mad look in your eyes. Always reassuring in a doctor.. 🙂
Should we have a competition to find the best speech bubble for that shot?

Little Sarah it wuld be my honour to swim with you…I was alone due to blindness rather than braveness. I lost sight of Miles pretty white feet early on and they had been my only visible guide…I’ll look forward to seeing you next time. 🙂

Yes Sterch, my friend, I am ok. I like to have my Peloton carefully assembled around me. Forget these random bolderdash attempts I’m sticking with my pod.
