11/02/2013 – Welcome to Jamaica, have a nice day!

11/02/201337

Everything about the swim today was a bit chilled out and relaxed.

73 Bold & Beautiful swimmers will agree Im sure….this morning it was all nice and calm.

I only realised later on that it was due to the amount of weed. (I mean seaweed, obviously)

This board paddler was trying to figure out how to get in

But it wasnt as easy for the boats!

We have met Marek, Rainer’s lovely brother. Now meet his dad! (Why are we stuck with the black sheep of the family?)

John Bond took the weed temperature this morning. It was 21.6, perfect cultivating temperature.

Bruce Baird immediately started an anti-doping campaign and began canvassing signatures

Wilf said he remembers nothing of the 60’s, but he did feel a bit of Deja Vu for some reason this morning

Lesley immediately got high on the weed

Poor Ian started halucinating and thought he was in the Cole Classic a couple of weeks ago

One of our newbies from Spain had no clue how to deal with the weed

Sparkles thought she had lost a foot while Attracta was flying high over the top of it

“GERRRROUTAMYWAAAAAAAAY”

Lori is not a big fan of weed

But she soon got into it with some of the “cool” kids

Then she really emersed herself in it!

But mother nature told them to just cut it out!!

But Lesley seemed to the think she had been given special powers and with a mere hand-stop sign could stop the waves

At least someone has the right idea!

All the weed was gone by the point. You know Im talking about Seaweed, right?

So Bruce Baird turned his attention to my wife. Im watching you fella.

Poor Anna, the weed must have affected her eyes….she literally swam straight into this boat that was moored half way to Shelly!

It doesnt affect Blog Tarting ability in any way shape or form though

Worse hit by the affects of the weed was poor Myles though, who barely managed to dress himself after the swim. I hope he doesnt get fired at work….

Hopefully the sea will do its job and get rid of this stuff by tomorrow!

Im off to Husky for the long course triathlon next week, so thanks to Rainer, Snorkles and Nick for covering accordingly and switching around days. Good luck to all the B&Bers taking part and I will (Hopefully) see you all at the finish line!

Back blogging in 2 weeks……………

Keep swimming and smiling,

Robster the Blogster

    Hilarious!!! Come back soon Robster:-))))
Anyone who didn’t swim today because of being put off by yesterdays bluey woes made a big mistake – it was really fun with all the weed (seaweed, of course:-)) and once swimming, divine conditions with no stingers of any kind.

Awesome blog Robster. Loved the weed swim this morning. Seriously chilled out. Man I’m hungry! Gotta get some burgers..
    One more thing Rob:
How on earth can I be the black sheep in the family, with my white see-thru and all! By the way, my dad was super cool with the fact that I get my clothes off for the camera every morning. Did you tell your family about your rubber fetish yet?

Great conditions for the ocean swim at North Bondi yesterday with a southerly holding off till the end of the race.
Steve Baird and Rob,from Northbridge, were the only other BnB swimmers that I met there, perhaps there were others.

A friend of mine has asked me to find out who’s doing the pervy nude swim on Sunday. He’s interesting in joining but doesn’t want to commit until he knows which B&B-ers are going to be on display, as there are a few he wouldn’t mind seeing a bit more of.

Love the blog Robster.I really feel like I missed something now. Wish I had got high on that seaweed with you all today! I hope LSA and Lips are still thinking of doing the Boldercrawl tomorrow at 5.45am and any other Slow but Steadies.
Miles and Alex, I can let you know who is doing the Skinny Swim tomorrow for a tick or 2 when I’m in Husky 😉

    Boldercrawl tomorrow or Wednesday?
John S and DWSS mentioned Wednesday, but now I’m thinking that was a sabotage attempt at my PC ranking.
Lesley I just looked at the photo of you, I don’t think you inhaled

Elaine are you asking me to deliberately forge your tick while you’re away, in return for inside information on whose boobs I, sorry ‘my friend’, might get to see on Sunday?
Wow, you stoop even lower than I thought.

Little Sarah and I are leaning towards Wednesday for Boldercrawl at this stage.

Elaine, if you want a tick in absentia you’ll have to pay HKTQ like everyone else. Miles holds no power when it comes to attendance sheets..
Little Sarah and I are looking at Boldercrawl on Wednesday at this stage. Southerly should ease further until then.

Ha Ha Ha, Rob, I was REALLY looking forward to an illustration of the punchline you used for blog title. Damn!

    11/02/2013 at 4:51 pm

Lips, I’m now leaning back to tomorrow as the southerly easing seems to be ahead of schedule:) How about tomorrow and Thurs in preparation for Sat?
i like the “Slow but Steadies” – that’s us, blogtarting “all the way”:-)
I confirm, those who go off for Pervy or Husky swims will have to pay up! For an extra fee, I can disclose a couple of names, Miles:-)

    Great blog today Rob!
I don’t understand the seaweed/weed references but otherwise a great blog!
    BTW
Anyone else having problems posting at the moment?

    11/02/2013 at 5:26 pm

So are we definitely on for Boldercrawl tomorrow? You see, I have to set my alarm for 4.50am if we are, coming from Nth Av. I can’t just walk over from North Steyne like some lucky buggas! See you tomorrow LSAHKTQ,Jalna and Lips at 5.45am or you will never be in the Thursday blog again!(Or maybe we could do some deal with ticks 😉

I’m sure Sgt Jacko will be able to educate you:-)

That’s a serious threat! I’ve made so many promises, I’m having trouble keeping track of them….some were made just to lead Shauny Boy astray.
Right, Lainey Loo & Jalna, tomorrow at 5.40 for 5.45 start in the dark. If Lips still prefers Wed or Thurs, I’ll do whichever day he likes as well.
Will try to bring Henchy Jon along for protection too:-)

I don’t know about anybody else but I was disappointed when I did not find an illustration of the punchline alluded to in this blog title. …..
