04/03/2013 – Lesley wasnt impressed…

04/03/201327

65 Bold & Beautiful swimmers started the week with this:

But Lesley wasnt impressed

Ian was busy looking for his pal John Kelly. “He is about this tall” I heard him say

The new flag system works well in Manly. Please remember to swim between the Yogi’s.

Emer was trying to distract Annie

In order to steal her wallet from her bag

LSA was still regaling people of her 10km triumph! Iain was too polite to tell her that he had done it too.

She decided that people just were not giving her the attention she deserved and decided to form her own B&B splinter group. This group leaves at 6.59am every morning from the surf club…

Jonathan was too busy pretending he was a motorcycle..BRUM! BRUM!

Poor Lauren has got the colour scheme all wrong

My best mate Bruce Baird was looking for someone who would listen about his new home in Rooty Hill. All the best with the new place, right next door to the RSL! Meat tray Sunday!!

Ian sang us a song on the way in.

Lesley was still not impressed

“I thought you said the water was warm!”

Ok then, lets just run all the way to Shelly

Tedley can almost walk on water. Or it’s a sandbank.

“No unattractive pictures!” said Attracta

Ok then…

The boys were not impressed with the “Crotch-High” waves

But bromance got some of the others through the surf!

Lesley still not impressed

I did a 10km swim on Saturday you know…

Ian said a prayer

But Lesley was still not impressed

Last one Attracta, I promise! 😉

If you lost a single red key at Bluewater Cafe, please come see me as the staff passed it on to Iain.

NEW water safety tips!!!  Michael’s tips remain valid but this updated guide is courtesy of champion Ironman Craig ‘Riddo’ Riddington.  He has put this RIP/ Surf swim education document together for the B&B and it’s a good read.  To read and even download click here.

Let’s have an “Impress Lesley” badge… anyone who can get her to uncross her arms gets one!

    No Challenge at all.
Dear Lesbutt has to uncross her arms to hit me.
    Not worth a badge.
    Swimming with dolphins is though.
Have I told you the NEW story Nick?

    Fabulous blog Robster! BUT:

    From his brother
“He slipped on a worm and broke a toe nail! And so didn’t feel up to swimming till it’s better”!

Oh, great, Aly, look forward to it. Beautiful today…..
Actually, set off with Jon, but as we were entering the water, I pointed out he had his glasses on his eyes and his goggles on his head. That’s why he was walking up the ramp while I went ahead:-) Then, it seems, he decided it was bikie time;-))

I’m so disappointed to have missed a Pretty Lesley swim.
Tho, she does look very Pretty when she’s not impressed.
I didn’t think the B&B swam on a Monday. I thought that was the day off for rest!
    🙁
    Nice Blob Rog….

Jane, the list has not been updated since yesterday, when you informed me about your great 6k effort. You are on the revised (real) list, which is what counts.

    Breaking news:
Just drove past South Steyne and the water looked disgustingly brown.. The wife went for a sunset surf and reported it looked like sewage.
Hope it clears up for tomorrow morning, otherwise Lesley will be even less impressed!

6.59 Super Slowies: Maybe we’ll let others test the waters first for a change!
Btw, Robster – loved your opening pics!

Come on you wimps, it’s only affluent effluent or posh poo water. we can swim in that!

  • Inez

John Bond you are almost at 1000km. Jules can we have a 1000k embroidery straight onto the hoodie, for him and Michael and whoever else achieves this awesome feat. Badge is too hard as I imagine you have a minimum order quantity. Then you have to hold the badges for ages till the next one qualifies who knows when? Michael will just have to bring his hoodie back home for it. With him inside it of course. Except not while they’re doing the embroidery. He can take it off for that bit.

That would be difficult. I’d be treading water.

What about a tattoo instead? Michael could get it tattooed on in Perth I’m sure…..
