Lots of regular swimmer out and about today and a few newbie’s.

Its been so long since I swam I have dropped off the tick sheet! How about that.

According to the bureau of statistics: We had 94 swimmers, 8 newbies and the water temp was a nice 23.1 degrees

It was a pleasant surprise this morning to see the water had returned to
normal. The southerly has brought in some cool winds but the  swell has subsided , for now…This arvo is set to be big again and tomorrow – MASSIVE

Here’s one I took Yesterday morning:

Here’s one I took today:

Not a bad difference eh?

As the stats prove, the water was warm however it was a little turbid. Brad kindly gave me
some insight as to why.

(Tim:) wow that water smelt
fishy today and it was cloudy and white.

(Brad:) That’s because fish have sex in there
Tim

Thanks Brad, ill keep that in mind next time im in the water.

A nice easy swim out today, no killer waves and no rescues!

It looks almost perfect from the halfway viewing point.

Over at Shelly, Iggs jumps in for a quick ‘Photo Bomb’

And back at the club the first swimmers roll in.

Ever thought your getting too old to swim? ( I mention no names)
Check this guy out – still swimming at 100
Years old!

Sadly there were a few people in trouble in the surf yesterday both in Manly and all the way up the Northern Beaches, some resulted in dire consequences. Dont forget, know your limits in the water. For some water safety tips click here.

That’s all for now, Sorry for the late blog.

There’s a great surfing film “Storm Surfers” at Manly Cinema tonight at 6pm. and tomorrow at 8.30pm. Apparently they surf waves even bigger than the ones we coped with during yesterday’s swim. I am buying my ticket in advance because last time there was a surfing film at Manly the queues were round the block and it sold out. So come early!

Tim, love the pic you took yesterday. As for the call for help, I’m sure some of the Blog Backers-up will step in to help you until a new “B&B demigod” is found.
Thx from us all for keeping us so well entertained and helping us over the big post-Jules-hump!
