14/04/13 AW13 – Sydney Fashion Week

14/04/201316

Whilst Miranda Kerr loses her Victoria Secret contract and the super skinnies parade round Sydney, the Bold & Beautiful swimmers show the Northern beaches how to do all things ‘fashion’. Let’s take a look inside Fashion Week B&B style.

Sadly for some, Miranda chose not to comment today. However seven of our swimmers took on the 6.30am show, reporting back lots of sightings of models, new trends and some amazing lighting effects.

Rolling back to Monday, as you can see there was definitely room for improvement…thank god for Sunday swims! Fashion Week Northern Beaches style has really pulled the crowds in, this week we have totalled 1419 people swimming the best catwalk in the show!

First up is Simon sporting the latest Autumn Trend ‘Contrasting Fins’.

Heidi and Seal turned up. Heidi was heard to say “I am so excited to see Sass & Bide back again”

Kate Moss was seen strolling around in one of the Autumn trends “Hot Pink”. Whilst others raided the vintage box and pulled out their 70’s favourites.

Transparency is no longer a focal point for Lips but he is still keen to point out to us where his nipples are!

Jennifer Hawkins made her way over from the East to join us.

Bringing her partner Jake Wall.

Naomi Campbell isn’t fussed about those quick wardrobe changes out in the open.

More seen in the Autumn trend “Hot Pink!” We managed to grab a quick photo with the Super Models just before they headed down the catwalk. Left to Right; Claudia, Linda, Cindy and Gisele.

At 7am, we take our place on the catwalk.

Here we see Ralph Lauren, Gianni Versace and Calvin Klein making their way to front row seats.

The fashion conscious make sure their labels are seen (the best way to do this is to wear your swimmers INSIDE OUT!!!) Check out Stephen showing us how it is done…..

Hot Pink looks good above or under the water.

Another under the water trend for this season “The One Fin Approach to Swimming”

Spotted aspiring Esther Williams synchronised swimming team.

At Shelly (the famous fashion house of the Northern beaches) we were lucky to spot these women sporting TWO of the upcoming trends “Hot Pink!” and “Black is Back”. Very future based ladies with their pink armies. You have nailed it!

With Winter chasing Autumn, we were lucky also to find the Wetsuit crew sitting down between shows. They were heard to say “I’ve been parading up and down that catwalk every day this week and I take a moment to myself and someone takes a photo, did they get my best side??”

Shelly fashion house was busy with the finale today. A total of 309 swimmers enjoyed the parade. 30 new people put on their best smiles and had fun too. 22 joined John Bond and did a double.

39 weeks and counting ‘Bump’ courtesy of Alyson shouted the “Let’s Go” today. What a SuperModel she is!

Trendsetting has even reached the Members of the Higher Order. “Ooooe Ayyy we lurvve a bit of Pink” said JK.

So apart from being really good at swimming, we are also a fashionable lot! What do the fish think though?

Trending from Vietnam ….Annie showing off her own fashionable self!

Has there been a wardrobe malfunction with the attendance sheets?

JK even has chainy things dangling from his budgie smugglers! (Think it’s his camera snuggled in there with the budgie!) Great blog Snorks and Stephen. 309 swimmers…amazing!
A 6.30 am group went off to Winkipop and Deadmans past The Bower. I want to go to those amazing sounding places!

With 309 swimmers it may take all day. We got a manual count for the blog. Its a time consuming task. We need an App!

Jane, if it’s not too late, do look in the bin inside the change room. I once found a bikini there in the arvo which I’d left on the bench in the morning:)
Love your SuperModel group shot – can’t wait to join you all back ‘in the pink’!
