104 of Manly’s finest got out of their (or possibly someone else’s) bed this morning to scenes which many of us have become attached to over the last 4 years!
You know the water is going to be beautiful and warm – what are you waiting for??

..and let’s face it, a little bit of weather is just a chance to accessorise…. Here’s Jane working it in a golf umbrella, gumboots and 14 layers…
…good thinking Jane – you don’t want to get wet 😉

Renae in her winter Manly ensemble (note the ugh boots)

two blokes trying to keep their hair dry….

Can anyone please lend Shane some $ to pay his power bill – so he doesn’t have to get dressed in the dark??

The course looked nice and flat again – very tranquil… in a dark sort of way….

See how few wetsuits in this pic – nice and warm still….

The fashion continued to the point….

…where we said hello to some old friends… ahhh ….welcome back you little b*st*rds 🙂

It was nice and warm – Shelley was tranquil – until we got there…..

If anyone needs to know anything – please see Patrick…

The usual suspects…

Lori – working on her shyness problem was firing the gun….
How to put on a Bold & Beautiful swimming cap correctly..
For those of you with little time due to your own popularity or just maybe you’re lazy –
Lesley and Rainer will now demonstrate how you can save valuable seconds in your day….

Fantastic – thanks guys (look at Lesbutt’s face when she gets it first go!)
Some mood shots above the water on the way back….

The only fish pic of the day was this Smooth Flute Mouth hanging just near Trevally Alley.

So here’s some pics from yesterday when it wasn’t so murky and dark …..

Sparkles…..

9 People did the double – here’s some of them emerging from the warm blanket….

Great blog as always. You make it look appealing even in the pooring rain, but have to say though not quite so homesick today as we have rain here today too, but that means 15mins early this morning and yep that’s it, back to blue sky now 🙂
Jane looks brilliant, so happy amongst all her accessories 🙂

Thanks for cuddling up to Brad to keep him warm when I’m away Stephen. He likes being hugged underwater too, so please sidle up to him at the Point tomorrow and wrap your arms round his tum. He’ll love it 🙂

The gorgeous little fish with 7 vertical black bars is a Bengal Sergeant (Abudefduf bengalensis). Izzy has given it a fab name because of its uniform: Convict Fish! I love its heart-shaped caudal fin. It always seems rather lonely to me, usually by itself, very occasionally with one other. So please make it feel welcome to the mob, guys.

I am stupefied at that cap photo series…seriously, you dropped the full hat and it just fitted itself to his head? what wonders! Incredible. WE should have it as compulsory bandb dress procedure.
