101 Bold & beautiful swimmers braved the “icy” 20.1C temperature this morning…brrrrr
Seriously, its still lovely and warm!
For anyone who reads the blog and hasnt come down for a swim yet, please do so as we would love to have you! The water is actually still warm and we are actually a pretty lovely and friendly bunch.
While it first looked like an average start to the morning
With some clouds in the distance
It got better during the swim, as always
While it was quite flat for the swimmers, the surfers were enjoying the occasional decent set

What a great way to start your week
Now it aint winter yet people, so whats with the hats and scarves?
“Someone” was even wearing these to keep warm over her wetsuit! (Emer)
Vicki kept warm with a little pre swim jog
I wish I had a video clip of this lady skipping backwards up the ramp to keep warm!
Some wore a “Where’s Wally” hat to keep the heat in! Is it really that cold? 😉
I saw this and assumed it was just Renae arriving after enjoying her parachute jumping exploits last week so much.
Jonathan warmed up with some squat thrusts!
Jeremy said “Sod it, Im wearing my wetsuit!”
Corrinne and Emer embraced their wetsuits with a smile
So off we went
It was so much warmer in the water than out, 9 degrees difference
There are no worries at the point, no bills to pay, no arguments, no reports to file, no traffic, no stress or worries…just happy people
Visibility was not great, although my photographic skills didnt help!
I did get a picture of some random feet, a staple of the Monday blog
LSA and Jane suggested I get a picture of them coming in at Manly beach, majestically riding a huge wave all the way in to the beach…..instead I got them washed up by some baby white water….
Majestic ladies…..Majestic!

….And the star of the show was Robster! As we all start putting on hats and wetsuits, Robster who went the entire summer WITH wetsuit is now going winter WITHOUT wetsuit all for the cause of SHINGLES awareness!
Yes, Lips, he did an “All the Way” WW. Unfortunately the pic of his white flesh in action had too much serious competition from Jane and I catching the Wave of the Day:-)
Hope Emer approved the kinky sign-off pic!

…I should say “all for the cause of SHINGLES awareness” AND bringing us a great blog every Monday morning!

A lovely blog Robster! I thought you’d swapped with Anna at first as it didn’t have the same lunatic/controversial/edgy tone of your usual blogs! Infact has the shingles brought out your feminine side??
Are you really going without wetsuit now? Well done!!!

Rob without wetsuit??? Thank God I dodged that bullet.
Luckily, I didn’t make it down this morning due to a bruised shoulder. Note to self: resist urge to bodysurf in dumpy shore break.
Clearly, I need to take bodysurfing lessons from you, LSA, and Baby Jane. You make it look so easy! MAJESTIC.

Robster, I loved the reminder that “There are no worries at the point, no bills to pay, no arguments, no reports to file, no traffic, no stress or worries…just happy people” Ahh!
And an extra note on the ‘skipping lady’ on the ramp – she also had no skipping rope: it was all done in mime. Huh ??
As for the salacious sign-off pic. Not quite sure what to say about that one … bizarre!

NO one needs to see my pasty Irish body on T’Internet, bad enough I expose it on the poor B&B group. Brenton was blinded in one eye when he looked directly at me.
Getting confused with Anna’s blog is the ultimate compliment Elaine, thank you…she is the yardstick upon which we are all measured in my book.
Next week I may go back to my narcissistic roots though.
Glad you all enjoyed the sign off pic, I have a similar one where I am biting Rainer but its too rude for the blog.
