26/5/13 – Absolutely the Most Fun You Can Have Upside Down!

26/05/201312

Sunday Morning – We know the surf’s up and the air’s a little nippy but we know the beautiful 21.3c water’s waiting for us

The Surf Jedi were conferencing….

The waves are nice and clean and not too dumpy…

The debris is almost at the top of the ramp – impressive.

Time to go… the air temp was 9.5c at 7am…….the water feels nice and warm on your toes as we get in..

There’s always time for a quick Macarena…

This was the view on the way out….

All smiles on the point as usual…

We invented a new yoga pose – “Holding the Sun”

There was some congratulating at Shelley – for making it over and now the discussion on getting back. It was a cleaner swim over this morning – not as choppy and a lot of fun

Just “Winning!”

The swim back was one of the most fun we’ve seen. The waves were great to surf in on.. I almost went back out! There was a lot of first time surfers in our group who had a ball.

For essential tips on surf safety – See Michael and Riddo’s section here

I’m definitely going back for more tomorrow!

Some pics from earlier in the week … (Lesbubbles is going to kill me but this is her diving deep for the old wives …)

The Sergeant Baker – replacing the cuttlefish, who’s having a rest from us….

The lovely Sacha and Co. have come up with an exclusive offer for us at Whitewater as they have a new menu.

Hopefully Kirsty will be working there and we can all go in and pay with $50 notes (cos they love that)

Personal ads section:

Young up and coming bachelor with “Magic Hands” and a two wheeled beast seeks adventurous lass for free massages and long rides.

Imagine, ladies, weekends astride the purple beast with the wind in your hair, (and maybe even a bike ride as well)

Enquiries can be made to Elaine’s Introductions Agency for a strictly confidential consultation!

And now let’s finish off by congratualting ourselves for just taking the time to swim today…. and a nice relaxed mantra…

Such a great blog Nick. Do you really count Ian among the debris at the top of the ramp?

Thank you to the surfer who gave me a lift back to shore when I looked around and realised I couldn’t see any pink caps around me !! Not much fun, but a reminder of how powerful the surf can be…

Well done Nick, you did it again!
Great swim. Loved going out through the big sets but didn’t feel man enough to come back in through them. Lacking Emma’s charm, I doubt one of the surfers would have given me a lift back to shore..
Speaking of charm, that Magic Hands guy looks like a real catch. Ladies, be quick and contact Madame Elaine for an introduction before it’s too late!

I haven’t seen that Magic Hands guy before… he’s very mysterious… the ladies had better be quick!

From the description and responses so far, it seems the blokes are more keen on Magic Hands than the women 😛

Not sure about the “long rides”, part, but definitely recommend the massages:-))
For those who’d like to by-pass Elaine’s Introduction Agency, call Qi Yoga for a highly-recommended chairopractic consultation with Magic Hands – may not be free, but you’ll get a good B&B discount!

    Oh Lips,
With your charming blog-tarting skills, someone would always see you and come to the rescue with a camera at least!
All calm for our Sunday swim at Big Wave Bay meanwhile… not the same without my buddies!
Remind me to tell you about Orca replacing my wetsuit and giving me an upgrade!!
