They say 70 is the new 30, and our old mate Mick Jagger turns 70 today!
Since he is timeless and so are we, the entire blog today will be made up of Mick Jagger quotes… Here goes..
“You wake up in the morning and you look at your old spoon, and you say to yourself, ‘Mick, it’s time to get a new spoon.’ And you do….”
“As long as my face is on page one, I don’t care what they say abut me on page seventeen..”
“I believe we should encourage children to sing and play instruments from an early age”
“I got nasty habits – I take tea at three.”
I haven’t had the time to plan returning to the scene because i haven’t left it.”
“I can’t get no satisfaction.”
…and here are some from this morning that moved like Jagger…
“My secrets must be poetic to be believable.”
“A good thing never ends.”
Midge – I told you I’d get your good side!
“Lose your dreams and you might lose your mind.”
Stop following me Rusty..
“It’s alright letting yourself go – as long as you can get yourself back”
“Thank you for leaving us alone but giving us enough attention to boost our egos”
“Anything worth doing – is worth overdoing”
“Either we stay at home and become pillars of the community, or we go out and tour. We couldn’t really find any communities that still needed pillars”
Sea creatures that move like Jagger….
These squid were hilarious. A fish would pop it’s head up from the weed to have a look at them and they squirted tiny little clouds of ink – like their ink producing bits weren’t fully developed yet…

Staying safe
Remember that
there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to
extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits. Do read
these excellent tips on staying safe in the surf. To read, or even
download, click here.
Also the doco crew will be filming us Saturday and Sunday – they have asked us to observe a few things…
1. Please remain natural! (Rainer and LSA!)
2. This documentary is being filmed in an Observational style and so it is imperative that you don’t ‘act’ for camera. (Rainer and LSA!)
3. We may be interviewing some people and will direct you then, but other than that please pretend that we aren’t there. (Rainer and LSA!)
4. We want to capture the essence of the group and the best way to do this is for you to just carry on as usual; (Rainer and LSA!)
5. We will only be focusing on people that have given us a release or people that we talk to on the shoot, however we will also be capturing the group as a whole. (Rainer and LSA!)
6. If anyone is uncomfortable being part of the documentary at all, they are advised not to swim on the days we are filming; (Rainer and LSA!)
7. Can the group try to wait closer together at the waiting point before swimming to Shelly Beach. (Rainer and LSA!)
8. We will be set up at the point and want to capture the group waiting for each other and the Lets Go! (Rainer and LSA!)
