25/11/2013 – Manly in motion

A perfect morning for swimming and surfing with a gentle off shore breeze and a building swell. Manly was in full swing this morning with boot campers on the beach, joggers on the stairs, swimmers in the water, surfers in the swell, walkers on the promenade and watchers at the coffee shops.

The ocean has cleared up nicely after the rain so visibility under the water was also excellent.

Even the trees seemed to be in motion, you can just see the early morning bolderdashers in the background.

For those of you who missed the dolphin yesterday, 14 year old Will Turner managed to catch it on video.

Alena, from Switzerland,  is staying with us at the moment ostensibly to learn English, but she has developed a taste for surfing and comes to the beach whenever she gets  a chance. She will be ski instructing in Switzerland when she returns home in mid December if anyone needs some ski lessons.

Well that’s my lot for the moment as I head off to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos later this week, I will be taking my pink cap and swimmers so will try to get some shots to add to Simon’s catalogue.
