I thought I was going to be getting up to a rainy morning today, but lucky for me I was wrong. It doesn’t happen often but on the rare occasion I can be proven wrong. ;).
It was an amazing start to the day with the clouds dissapearing as the clock nears 7am.
It was like swimming in a lake this morning with the smoother seas and colder waters. It always brings out the sealife and cuts down the number of swimmers hence the name bold.
Some of us like to get dressed up for our swims. Take a look at Anna’s new flippers. Let us know how they went Anna.
Goanna!!
There is always a sense of excitement as we head into the waters. With no waves that leaves us plenty of time to catch up with our friends on the way in.
While some get ready for their underwater adventures other’s are doing impersination’s of a peacock mating dance. Be sure to check out the background.
Now that we have made it to Shelly, the business side of things start to take place.
Some people are just happy make it to Shelly.
We have managed to recuit another young swimmer. She is looking a little cold. Lucky for her there is support to keep her going. Well done and we hope you enjoyed the water and fish today and we see you again.
Now onto the fish of the day and no it’s not snapper.
Some of the fish were very shy today so it made it a little challenging to get that perfect shot.
The lengths we go to. (Nick)
Nick and I came across some Old Wives this morning. Stunning
I found Vanessa, JK & Sophie trying to take selfies of themselves so I thought that I would give them a hand.
and last of the underwater shots. I love the slow swim into shore where the waters are crystal clear. If people didn’t know where this photo was taken you could be mistaken for thinking we are snorkelling off Cairns.
We have been sent in a photo of Krystyna in New York. Looks like she is trying on clothes to make sure it suits her pink cap. Nice work Krystyna. Keep up the great photos.
Renae. Have a great weekend everyone.

Don’t forget TOMORROW is ‘clean up’ Cabbage Tree Bay day, which is our small contribution to Ocean Care Day – bring your flippers so you can dive down and collect rubbish!! Stuff it in your cossie or bring a mesh bag or pair of pantyhose to collect the rubbish in – the more we all collect the better! We will swim as normal to Shelley Beach, then on the way back we can take our time and search for rubbish. At the end of the swim will will pile it together!

Another lovely blog Renae. As usual.
A lot more people using the APP I notice. I don’t have a smartphone, but all you “smarties” could be logging on without having to worry about the tick sheet!
You CAN actually log on from home from your ipad or PC as long as its post 5am and pre 9am. It would have to beat queuing!!

Great photos as usual!
Thanks to the 6.30 Boulderdashers for persuading me to join them. I found it pretty tough, being my first in over a year, especially with the wind and swell on the way back and thanks to Kate for keeping me company on the way home!

Anna & Krystyna both showing off their youthful vitality!
APP: It is actually very, very simple, even this nontechsmartie is managing easily. Also has large simple print for us oldies, unlike those tick sheets!
Oh Michael, aren’t you coming to join us for a bolderdash, 6K or 10K? I know you love swimming by my side or waiting for me at Queensie:-)))
