(BnB Trivia night – more info at end of blog)
You shared this morning, you and the ocean, and both were changed by that.
But look back as you exit the shallows. Turn around as fast as you can, try to catch a trace that you were there. Just swirls and curls and whispers without the slightest sign of your sharing.
This is not for want of forgetting. The ocean’s wisdom understands that by letting go of who you were, it is allowed the pleasure of rediscovering you anew, every morning. Sharing the gift of being seen with new eyes.
Every swim, every morning, is an opportunity to see and to be seen with new eyes.

Cool air and a palette of colours waiting to be discovered in the grey iris of the dawn.

Storchy’s Iris, a broader palette but not so many colours.

A “non-comedic” shot of Les, floating with friends in the quicksilver.

…And a “non-blogtart” pic of Lainey on her way to photograph the baby Port Jackson Shark at Shelley Beach.

Baby shark…. I said BABY shark. A couple of drama queens on their fastest lap back to the point.

See… Not a trace you were there. Just smooth sizeable waves offering great bodysurfing.

Wilf’s secret of success No.3 – allowing himself to be seen with new eyes, every sunrise.
Anna, a sweet slice of life, same as it never was.

BnB on tour! Here is Jeff (Buckley) Parsons swimming in Moon Lake, Mississippi – “a cool, but not cold, freshwater lake off the Mississippi River near the Arkansas border”. If you hear Banjos, turn around…
Warmly,
Andrew ‘Magichands” Maher.

Great blog Magic Hands. Monday morning meditations..
For the record: Yes, there was a ‘baby’ shark at Shelly. True. However, Helen spotted a much larger animal at the point. Capable of eating a finger. Or worse.
Loved the early double LSA!

That baby shark was so cute! I’ll put the photos on the link. He looked to be quite sick and swam in to Ian F. Lovely blog Andrew. Those scenic shots are amazing. What beautiful skies and light this morning.

BTW, I’m sooo disappointed no one noticed the Jeff Buckley -> swimming in the Mississippi reference…
Never mind.

Yes Magic Hands, I got the reference. Jeff Buckley, like his father, Tim, drowned in the Mississippi.

Your club looks inspiring!
I am trying to get the exact source for the saying- every sunrise see and be seen with new eyes.
We have relative in Australia- I wonder if they have heard of your great group. I thank you in advance Dr. Ron Rubenzer, Greensboro NC 27408 USA

Ron,
“Every sunrise see and be seen with new eyes” was written by me, here. Yes the Swim Squad is a very inspiring institution.
My blogs are me writing about whatever the morning’s swim has inspired. That line is actually part of a song chorus I wrote…
“I’ll see you with new eyes, every sunrise.”
A promise to rediscover a loved one, all over again, every morning. It’s about freeing your present from your past and discovering the infinite potential of what is now.
Warm Regards,
Andrew Maher.
