(Update: Some photos just in from the sidelines, scroll to the bottom to see them as they pretty much save the blog from being a complete train wreck!)
151 swimmers including 8 newbies (Welcome!) dipped their toes into the 21.3 degree ocean this morning, which actually felt very warm compared to the wind temperature.
The title of todays blog is simply because Poppy introduced me to “Easy Thumbnails” software which reduces my editing time on the blog by at least 80% – LEGEND! And big thanks to Gareth for messaging me the link so I didnt spend loads of time googling to find it! LEGEND! Just a shame I cant take a photo to save my life today.
Sorry I didnt get a photo of you Poppy, but here is Gareth in all his beardy glory. For all your technological needs……!

This mornings weather was not great to be honest. In this photo either the sun was trying to break through the clouds or Shelley Beach was on fire.

Cancel the fire brigade, Shelley beach was not on fire.

Bill had just swam back to Manly from Palm beach as a warm up to his 24 hour team swim today. He has come a long way since his 50M doggy paddle from half way to the bower pool.

Jane looks like she has just seen a ghost. 😉

The Wedgie King, Rainer. Well played sir, well played

Three things about this photo:
1. You may not have noticed but it is very slightly blurred
2. Its Lyndall
3. She is apparently wearing her swimmers inside out.

Renae has that “Im about to get wet and Im not quite ready yet” face

Now for some quality underwater photography…

You wouldnt even know Im NOT a professional…..

Im pretty sure Im going to win awards with these…..

(If you want to see some proper U/W shots, check out Nick’s excellent blog yesterday)
Meet Wendy.
This is her at Shelly.

This is her crowd surfing at a concert. Awesome.

Emer did the lets go, she just forgot to “go” herself

Keep swimming & smiling,

Great photos by Papa Byrne!
Robbie, apologies for the wedgie. Spur of the moment. It just felt right. Always wanted to know what it would feel like to be on the ‘giving’ end of a wedgie transaction.

Today I saw lots do dusky whalers. At least three in one field of vision. All a bit under a metre. They were roughly level with the Halfway stairs on a line between the pool and the yellow shed. Also saw a slightly bigger one in the same vicinity.
