A little quieter this morning after our annual Trivia Night last night when over $10,000 was raised!!! This will cover B&B costs and $6000 to The Royal Far West! THANK YOU!!! Many thanks also to The Steyne for having all 200 of us and to all the work put in by Ian, Pauline, JK, Jenny, Ann, Jalna, Jill and all the rest of you who helped make it such a great night!
Storchy’s Booty Camp was a bit low on numbers as you can see below, but with some swimmers partying on until the early hours I’m not surprised.

The sky put on a spectacular display on this chilly Autumn morning…

Calm and clear water swimming to The Point. A blind shark swam beneath John Bond and I. (After a few drinks last night I was feeling a bit blind myself so didn’t manage to get a shot of it!)

I did get a couple of underwater shots though!

A noticeable lack of Blog Tarts at Shelly but Annie can always be depended on for a happy shot!

Wonder if Sterling and Tim go to the same dentist??

Lots of sightings of Dusky Whalers today around halfway! A few people saw cuttlefish and a wobbegong was over the pale rocks. I kept getting stung and it wasn’t jimbles, bluebottles or sea lice. There were also a lot of luminous blue things in the water. Does anyone know exactly what they are?

There was a lot of plankton and salp as well as fish. The yellowtail were having feeding frenzies everywhere!

A couple of shots I took yesterday when the water was clearer. The brightest, friendliest blue groper…

A giant Cuttlefish in shallow water around the rocks. Look how close he got to the surface of the water.

I take my camera every time I swim so I’m including below a few of my favourite shots since my blog last Wednesday. Our lovely swimmers with our fishy friends. Spot Krystina, Stephen, Annie, Jill, Helen, Marije and others!

Photos from Trivia Night! If you have any more please load on the Bold and Beautiful page. Once again thank you to everyone who helped make it such a success including the generous people who donated items!

Staying safe
We have had seen the return of some serious waves and rips this past week! Were you prepared? Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! Lainey-Loo – I really think those are the best underwater shots ever!
Don’t know what the blue tinfoil things are, but they certainly sting. I’ll try the experts at the OzMus when I’m there tomorrow.

That’s nice Sarah Anne but It might have been me squealing about getting stung and when Ian McKnight swam from under me nowhere and grabbed my flipper!

Top blog Lainey-Loo. Love the Groper photos !!
Looks like it was a fabulous night last night, I’m sorry to have missed it 🙁 Lots of work goes on behind the scenes to make these nights, so thank you to Ian, John, Pauline, Jenny, Juana, Anne, Jill, the Steyne Hotel staff, all the very generous supporters and everyone else involved !! Especially everyone who turns up full of fun, making every part of B&B such a success. What a fabulous outcome, another $6K to Royal Far West helping support another group of country kids to get the medical care they need. Brilliant !!! You must be all so proud, I certainly am.

Well, the shiny blue things may not sting, but they always appear at the same time as all the wretched jellyfish larvae, which certainly do! I have the bumps to prove it after this morning.

It’s been a long time since we had stingers except or sealice. Mine have gone down so don’t think they are as bad. Maybe the plankton and larvae will attract whales!!!

Maybe the blue things are the blue bottles from last night’s shindig. They were quite impressive, as was the whole thing! Great night last night!
