RUST NEVER SLEEPS:
The beachfront water is looking surprising clear, even after Sydney got most of its August rain in past few days … (9.30 am yesterday)

The rain is bucketing down this morning. Manly Wine kept its lights on …

“I love the swimming. I started in November, and liked it so much we bought an apartment just over there – that same day. Most expensive swim I ever did.” – Peter

Meanwhile, it’s raining harder.
Inset: the rainwater was broiling up through this grille

That takes the cake, Peter – buying an apartment nearby on the strength of your first swim.
Captures the post-swim elation nicely.
I changed my surname by deed poll after my first swim. Not that I was the first.

It probably rained more this morning ..just before / during the swim than I’ve EVER seen in 3.5 years! I couldn’t believe it when all the swimmers turned up! AND it was WORTH it! Really nice and clear and ‘warm’.
And well done to Lee from Arizona for his first swim!
And well done Roger on your first blog – I love the BnB pink caps cartoon! so true!!

A most enjoyable blog! As above, I loved the pink caps advert. It was surprisingly clear in the water, and I almost ran into a beautiful Port Jackson shark.

Bar is set high if that’s a first time blogger. Nice job!
Hope you enjoyed your swim Lee.
Someone asked me what I’ve been doing while my husband is OS. I’m sending them the 6.30 beaching it pic. 🙂
