One can never be in a state of growth when in a state of defence, the two cannot co-exist. This is both a physiological truth and a global truth. Observed all the way from the health of an individual to the health of the world’s ‘powerful’ nations.
When seeking an example of true power we need only look to the ocean. She carves our coastline, supports abundant life and even influences the very weather we share today.
Yet she wears no armour. All that she is to her deepest depth is expressed at the surface without reatraint. Her waves bowing gracefully at the feet of the continent which she herself will shape.
Letting us know, that to be invincible, first we must become defenceless.
First sunny morning for a while. Calm water with a smattering of storm flotsam
Silhouettes of the sixthirty super swimmers
And Storchy’s Super Booty’s
Sunny weather brought the crowds
Swimmers braving the apparent 16 degrees (do you think it felt warmer?)
Lainey completed her WWW badge today and donated some of
the photos for today’s blog (author’s blogging camera finally died today)
But I did share a healthy chocolate alternative recipe with Anna of The Glass House Flowers
And rescued this jacket from the wall (contact me to claim it)
Big thanks to the lovely Elaine and Claire for helping with some of the photos today.
Warm Regards,
Andrew ‘Magichands’ Maher.

So nice to have the sun back! Great www swim although I felt a bit loopy with the cold afterwards! The ocean does make me feel invincible… thought provoking words Andy and lovely blog. It was also James Partington’s 20th www swim. His band, The Troubadors is playing at St Pats if anyone wants to come along for a great night on Sat 6th Sept. Stephen Coulter has tickets. Happy last week of Winter folks!
