The 65, or there about, swimmers who turned up today were welcomed by glorious sunshine!! No wind, no rain. How the simple things make us so happy.
Welcome back to Helen (or Ducky to some). Her first swim back in a few months was about to be made even more fun with washing machine conditions.
The rip provided a fast and furious lift to the point via the very choppy waves. Mind you, don’t go too close to the rocks. That route might see you washed up on an unforgiving submerged boulder.
The sunshine brought out the blog tarts. How disappointing that due to technical issues (dead hard drive) I can only bring you five photos!!
The choppy conditions challenged us on the way back. Some took the half way option – which is very wise if you don’t feel up to going through the surf.
Now you should all have booked your place for tonight’s dinner!! The very lovely Miles is the guest speaker. Perhaps his account of swimming the channel will provide you with the inspiration to take on a hairy, audacious challenge of your own. Fun starts at 6.30pm.
Have a great day.
Mary

Oh Fifi. The pain of not having my trusty laptop is horrid. And made even more desperate by the inability to publish the lovely photo of you and the Storchinator.

Great blog Mary. Covering all the important swimmers.
Lucky Lesbubbles didn’t push herself in front of the camera again. She’s probably still in bed..

A very traditional blog Mary. Few photos with succinct prose.
Helen welcome back to cold wet Sydney.

Great to hear from Helen about her travels at coffee this morning. Tough conditions to do the blog Mary with no hard drive. Noticed no photos of your spouse who made a cameo this morning…this may come back to haunt !!!
