Great Blog Simon. Lovely shots of us! Such fun with the friendly groper.
I have developed my skills at image adjusting due to my hopeless results with the camera….hope you could make him out clearly!

Great blog Simon, you’ve caught the enthusiasm of the morning and the fish chasers well. Tomorrow should be good for bolderdashy if anyone interested. Maybe less choppy than Wednesday.

Two years back I was enjoying a month based with my relatives at Queenscliff and swimming with the B and B whenever my other commitments allowed. I still follow the blogs with great interest. Since then I have swum over 1500 km in rivers, lakes and the sea and just for fun I compare my open water distance with the Pacific Challenge totals that some of you have amassed. I was swimming in the sea near Bournemouth yesterday in November sunshine, similar distance to Shelly and back, but sea temperature 12 to 13 C, without wetsuit of course. That’s warm by our standards for late autumn! You folk inspired me to push my swimming further and I am certainly doing that, for which thank you all very much.
Who knows, I might even go so far as to take part in an English Channel relay in the next year or two…

    Wow great work Neil!
What a Champion swimming without a wetsuit!

  • Lainey

Well done Neil. I follow your swims with interest on Facebook. And I was complaining about the 19.8 degree water yesterday!

Nice blog Simon. That’s great that you go over the Pacific Challenge and what it’s all about as it does motivate so many of us. I’ve got to try and get back on top of Shauny!

Im not sure you would want to do that Lainey…have you seen his moustache? Even the catfish are after him now….

    11/11/2014 at 10:29 am

    That’s an awful lot of km’s Neil. I can’t even begin to imagine 12-13 C without a wetsuit. I think our coldest was 14.6 C !!

    11/11/2014 at 10:59 am

I remember your visit Neil. Well done. 1500 KM
    That’s more Km’s than Lip’s photo bombs!
Well maybe not quite that many but still – well done.

Thanks for your kind comments. I hope to be able to experience Manly again myself before too many years are out.
