There’s a saying, ‘You Can’t Teach Heart’…
In this case ‘Heart’ being the ability to dig deep and find what’s necessary to move beyond your current limitations. It’s said with the implication that you can learn anything, but heart is something you either possess or you don’t.
It’s highly probable that ‘heart’ isn’t something that can be taught. However, that doesn’t mean that you either have heart, or don’t.
We ALL have it.
And whilst you can’t learn it, you can discover it.
No one teaches you the subtle beauty of a rising sun. You discover it. The sunrise is with you every day, but only once you gave it time to be known to you, a little moment in an endless stream of life, was it able to become discovered.

Special B & B Monthly Dinner – Swim with all your Heart
The next B&B monthly dinner will be on Tuesday 9th May at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. The dinner precedes our “Swim with all your Heart” event on Saturday 13thMay and we have two special guest speakers. James Partington, one of our B&B swimmers will tell of his personal experience with heart disease. A very fit James, at the age of 37, was diagnosed with “a bicuspid aortic valve, moderate regurgitation and an aortic aneurism of over 50mm”. What the ?? Come along and find out.
James will be joined by Dr Geoffrey Tofler, who is Honorary Medical Director of Heart Research Australia, and has over 20 years’ experience as a clinical consultant cardiologist, including 13 years at Harvard Medical School Hospital in Boston. Professor Tofler will talk about “How to keep your heart healthy”.
The cost of the dinner is only $25 a head and includes shared entrees, a selection of mains to choose (incl a vegetarian option), corkage (for byo wine only) and a little thank you for the staff. Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each.
