Another glorious morning down at the most beautiful corner of the world this morning, Cabbage Tree Bay, Manly… Around 170 of us threw ourselves in that 22 degree water to get our Vitamin Sea! Yes it’s Lainey blogging again as you can tell by the same old phrases I churn out every week! We are desperately needing a Wednesday blogger if anyone can spare a bit of time once or twice a month? Please see me or Management. I can help anyone out with their first blog. I’ve been doing it for 5 1/2 years now and it’s helped me develop photography skills, got to know some wonderful people and I’ve become a fish fanatic so there are some great advantages from the time involved!
Gorgeous sunrise around 6.14am… A lot of you were already in the water by then. There are the 5.40am swimmers as well as 6.30amers and a few in between.
My son Charlie joins us for a swim/snorkel today. He’s doing Environmental Science at UTS and needs to get some fish photos for an assignment.
The early swimmers cross over with the 7amers. Michele hugs Michael and gets him cold and wet. (Not that he’d ever refuse a hug from a woman in a bikini!)
Real Estate Agent Adam from Stone Real Estate at The Point. (He advertises on left hand side of the blog and supports the B&B). He’s also a new Dad!
Charlie and I spend a lot of time around the rocks but it’s not so clear today…
Loads of Yellowtail though!
The world’s most glamorous and fit Grandma, Sue Donelly, not looking too sick I must say Sue. (She took a well earned sicky today but assures me nobody reads the blog from work;-)
Clare and Tara haven’t been on the blog before. Here you go girls!
It was Jesse’s first swim with us this morning. He works for Clarke and Humel Real Estate. Here he is with Sherie, his work colleague.
This happy group post-swim, Michael, Sophie, Nick and Jimmy. Jimmy is a lovely guy, single and ready to mingle and “catch of the Day’ today. (Please see me if you want me to set you up on a date!
This lovely lot before their swim. (Photos a bit out of order today.)
Below are photos of marine life sightings over the past week when water was clearer!
Libby, Liz and the Giant Cuttlefish
This pretty little fish swimming around rock ledges near the point is a type of Damselfish I think. (If anyone can identify my fish photos better please comment at bottom of blog).
Dusky Whaler seen on the weekend. There haven’t been reports of sightings recently. Has anyone seen any?
This Spotted Wobbegong has been hanging around and delighting swimmers recently…
This is a Numbfish or Coffin Ray
Crimson Banded Wrasse showing it’s beautiful colours
Diamondfish photobombed my photo of a Dusky!
Signing off
