Considering the date anything could happen. So far so good, no reports of anything spooky and all swimmers returned to base intact . Clear calm waters, freezing cold admittedly and a lot of us are now reaching our winter badge status. Twenty swims needed over 7 weeks and you get a badge , for a small cost.
I’m covering Lizzy Stewart today. Beautiful sunrise awaits us all today, here’s a shot from the water
The swimmers finishing off look a tad cold compared to the dry swimmers starting off
I found a newbie as I entered the water. Robbie from stanwell Park normally takes a dip in her local beach but drove up north, crossed the bridge ( not commonly done 😉) and came to manly for a swim . Welcome!
I met a group of swimmers celebrating two birthdays in their group and they shared some lovely treats with me. Happy birthday to Rochelle and mel!
Also a happy birthday to lou lou , here with Elaine
Another newbie , jade here with emilie her mother , only 11 years old . Welcome jade .
Sean has joined a while ago , wears the cap but hasn’t been roped into logging swims yet and worrying about the challenge. A nice change. Grew up with him locally as a family friend , nice to see old friends again down at the swim.
A recent port jackson
Stats- 240 swimmers , 4 newbies , temp was 16.1 felt like 15!
I’m reading “tracker “ about tracker Tilmouth , a wonderful indigenous man.
