After the past few hot and humid days today’s cooler air was a welcome relief. The beach and the bay were pretty much flat, and there were around 20 surfers just north of the flags. Looked like great conditions for someone who is learning to surf. Some of them kept drifting too close to the flags for the lifeguards’ liking and one of them paddled out for a friendly chat.

I had a doctor appointment so only had time for a half swim. I started with Cath and Chris but soon lost them due to my tendency to stop and look at everything. Here are Ctah and Chris doing some hand stuff

We see lots of these fish and today they were swimming quite close. To me and to the surface. Viz was quite good, with no bluebottles around. Unlike yesterday afternoon when one got way too afectionate with me for my liking.

Eagle ray partly camouflaged.

I pointed it out to Fleur and Petra whose names I remembered to my surprise, and most likely theirs. Here they are with some more hand stuff. Fleur was extra happy because today was her first swim in a few weeks

People tell me I take good photos. It’s because I take lots and a few of them are good. Here is a not so good photo, redeemed by a fairly poor caputure of a pretty moon wrasse with a groper

Here’s another ray, swimming about, minding its own business, captured by the paparazzi monster

I heard word of turtles and wobbegoings but did not see any. But here’s a turtle I prepared earlier

Quite sad to have missed a big cutlefish very close to shore – disappointing but such is life.
Here’s some music from an artist I saw recently. A brilliant response to some trolling body shaming.
Enjoy and have a great rest of your day
