29/11/2010 – Chalk and Cheese

November 29, 20102

12 Bold and Beautiful Swimmers.
4 Boulderdashers, Kelly without a wetsuit and it was lovely seeing Christine out there on a board.

Near perfect conditions, glassy, clear water lots of fishy, the southerly wind has cleared up the sea beautifully. Completely different from the last few days.

It is just the slight issue of the temperature which is a little bit brrrrrr.

Water Temperature 16.4’C

Sunrise: 5:37
Sunset: 19:48
Low Tide: 8:47
High Tide: 15:01

True Mich, it was a lovely swim, quiet and clear water, I really enjoyed it. Yes the water is cold, but it was such a pleasant swim to the pink heart!
And Kelly was amazing, she’s immune to cold I believe 🙂

And since we were confused about when it starts, as per Jules’ email, it’s on this saturday:
Summer Badge Long Distance Swims Starting on Saturday 3rd December
The 6km summer badge swim will be available every Saturday, conditions permitting.
The route will be: Leave Manly at 7am for our regular Shelly swim, then on the way back for those interested in continuing on, you will wait off the point at Manly where we first congregate, once everyone is gathered we will depart for Queenscliff Headland where we will all congregate again, then onto Freshie headland. Once everyone has arrived it’s a straight swim back to Manly 🙂
