27/04/2011 – Wet Swim

April 27, 201111

Over 57 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

It was a wet swim today, but it didn’t seem to bother the sharks or the kingfish… 🙂

Sadly a dead Sperm Whale got washed in at Newport yesterday afternoon and allegedly a Whaleshark was sighted off Botany last week – gosh I hope that’s true, it would be sensational to have a visit from a Whaleshark on one of our swims !!!

Happy Birthday to Stephen Coulter today 🙂

Manly Wine sponsored B&B nibbles tonight, look forward to seeing you there.

Check out a fantastic photo of Magnus Butlin, Debbie Long, Anita Keelan and Deb Hanson at Deb and Anita’s first ever ocean swim on Sunday, The Rock to Rock at Pacific Palms. Great stuff and lovely photo, well done 🙂

Water Temperature 21.9 degrees.
Sunrise 6.26am.
Sunset 5.20pm.
Low Tide: 10.25am.
High Tide: 4.44pm.

A piece of trivia for you all:
There is no recorded episode of a shark attacking anyone wearing a Bold and Beautiful cap ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!!!!!
Its obviously a very safe piece of equipment that no ocean swimmer should be without!!

I thin we should submit this little known fact to the Guinees Book of Records for ratification.

    FYI Michael- to be confirmed
Nor is there any record of a Bold and the Beautiful swimmer attacking a shark anywhere in the world while wearing a cap

I didn’t realise the sharks were wearing the caps now. That’s a worry.
