27 Bold & Beautiful swimmers turned up at least…
John Bond picked the title of this morning’s blog as soon as he arrived. What a wild and wolly morning. It’s rough, rugged and interspersed with flotillas of overgrown blue bottles. All in all not a very pleasant morning for a swim !
Whilst a few people had a tea bag, some turned straight back home to bed and 7 stallwarts, namely Brendan Maher, Carlton Quartley, Chris Moxey, David Adams, Derek Minihane, Robert Laier and Simon Cowell all ventured over to the harbour for a swim; out to the point and back, where Brendan said they practically surfed all the way there, but it was a real fight every stroke of the way back.
Meanwhile, the rest of us graced Manly Wine with our presence nice and early, enjoying stimulating conversation… and lovely hot coffee, making for a great morning well worth getting out of bed for 🙂
Thanks to Christine Armour for getting up close and personal with the blue bottles to get this great photo for us.
Good news !! The wind is due to move around later today, so tomorrow should be just fine.
Tim’s fact of the day: “At 39cm in width, the Giant Squid has the largest eye in the animal kingdom.”
Water Temperature 20.0 degrees.
Air Temperature 16.5 degrees.
Sunrise 5.39am.
Sunset 7.46pm.
High Tide: 9.33am.
Low Tide: 4.15pm.
Really big tides they are today too…

The good news is its evidently going to be fine tomorrow Rob. Also the sea should have settle down so it might be quite nice tomorrow!!!
A good thing for your mum to do is to take a trip out to West Head, or the ferry ride from Palm Beach to Bobbin head and back with lunch at Bobbin head. Neither of these rely on good weather and are both beautiful.

Rob, if your mum likes creative ambience for interesting shopping experiences, Surry Hills is the place. Paddington the same, also great if she’s a bit arty.
