I was very excited I saw the turtle – he was hovering around the rocks at the point and I nearly choked water trying to tell everyone he was there but I couldn’t find anyone so I swam after him as he headed towards the 2nd lap swimmers waiting at the point! A few of us ended up seeing him including Terry! He was a big turtle too and a really fast swimmer!

It looks like Saturday is going to have great conditions for the longer swims!!
The swell will be under half a metre and from the south east with light winds and sunshine.
Provided the forecast doesn’t change it sounds to be about as good as it can get.

And here I was feeling pleased with myself for spotting so many sharks…and I missed the TURTLE!!!
My new life’s aim is to see that turtle…what a fabulous thing to see first thing.

I was so excited when I saw the turtle that I wanted to start yelling, but I figured that all of the people with their heads half in the water would think someone was yelling frantically about a shark! I tried to tell everyone calmly, but he was already out of sight…
