23/02/2011 – Numb Fish

February 23, 201112

Over 63 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

Lovely clear warm water with a Dusky Whaler and a Numb Fish – nice 🙂

Saddly no dolphins this morning but it was a gorgeous swim. Of course you would rather swim to Shelly Beach and back than get distracted by dolphins again wouldn’t you…..

Water Temperature 23.5 degrees.
Sunrise 6.37am.
Sunset 7.40pm.
Low Tide: 7.08am.
High Tide: 1.09pm.

That numb ray is what John stood on last week. It must have been about as big as they get. It was like a small carpet.
BTW don’t forget that Brendan is also swimming Rottnest. Good luck to all of you!!

I’m going to do it next year also. With my luck there’ll be perfect conditions on Saturday and dreadful next year as usual.

I will see you all in the morning for my last swim!!! I will decide about next year after I complete this one, and I sure will not be making a decision while I am swimming the last few km’s.

Is anyone interested in doing a 15km sympathy swim for our friends at Rotty this weekend.
Just up to Dee Why and back.

It’s the last 6km summer badge qualifying swim this Saturday, my vote would be to encourage and support as many B&B swimmers as possible to join us on that… 🙂
Then as Kelly says we can think of the Rotto guys still swimming whilst we’re enjoying our late brekkie (lunch) and for you Iain, indeed with a beer 🙂

    15km the following week?
Just in case the Rotto swimmers are getting withdrawal symptoms.
It could be the inaugural B & B swim junkie swim.
ps. Nick sounds like your not on patrol this Saturday….. beers at breakie it shall be and then perhaps we can find a sophisticated establishment like the ho to watch some union and cricket.
pps. Nick don’t forget to wear captains hat and boat shoes to the ho and if anyone asks its a 48ft boat you are getting. I’ll claim to be deckhand.
