22/09/2011 – Picture Perfect

September 22, 201113

60 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

Another perfect morning in paradise with a beautiful school of baby squid swimming just off Shelly Beach.

There were sightings of whales off Quuenscliff earlier this morning too. I’ve got a feeling Mummy and Baby Whale might join us for a swim tomorrow morning, after all who would miss it…

Michael and John did a bonus lap on their lonesome again this morning.

Any takers for an early season Bolderdash tomorrow morning at 5.50am up to Queensie and back in time to meet the regular 7am swimmers ??

A great group photo taken at Shelly Beach this morning 🙂

Rumour has it that Tim found the catch of the day… and I got bitten by a piece of rouge plastic, all together now “…..” 😉

Check out the progress of the B&B trivia tables by clicking here.  We’re hoping to get 10 tables, or more 😉 so please let me know if you’re keen to join an already started table or if you’d like to start a new one.

Michael, Anna, Robin and myself are going to be part of the live audience in pink caps on the ABC’s First Tuesday night book club when it is being recorded next Friday to support one of their guest authors, Julia Baird, who more importantly is one of our swimmers. The books they are discussing are: Pulitzer Prize winner, Jennifer Egan’s ‘A Visit from the Goon Squad’ and Oscar Wilde’s fable ‘The Happy Prince. Tickets are free so if you’d like to join us in pink please book your ticket by emailing bookclub@abc.net.au or call 02 8333 3644.

Tim’s fact of the day: “The common goldfish is the only animal that can see both infra-red and ultra-violet light.”

Another on tour photo taken at sunset outside their villa of Michelle with the Patanque winners; Vicki and Mahdi (if only they knew the rules!!)

Water Temperature 17.5 degrees.
Air Temperature 20 degrees.
Sunrise 5.45am.
Sunset 5.51pm.
Low Tide: 8.56am.
High Tide: 3.32pm.

    Hi All,
There is any early swim on tomorrow at 5:40 am, and yes the sun has risen at this time (just)!
James and myself will be looking to try and bolt up to Freshie headland with anyone who is interested, whilst Michael Christie will be taking a smoother warm up swim up to/past Queensy for those who seek a more peaceful transition into.
Look forward to seeing some early morning smiles tomorrow.

I am definitely going to try be up at 5am so if I get clearance will attend early with the “smooth” bolderdashers.
I would also like to come to the trivia and am happy to sit at any table.

Oh so very cold to get in the water but sooooo very worth it, its just beautiful out there. I am looking forward to the water temp warming up though so its a little easier to float around and hover to enjoy the underwater world.

    Trivia Handicaps,
Anyone interested in investing in trivia handicaps pool give me a buzz. It is a simple process whereby the leading team at the end of each round is handicapped through the consumption of a delightful shot of tequila, whisky, absinthe, vodka etc
Great fun and add a new dynamic to Trivia.
