78 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Beautiful flat warm water for a great swim today, the water was a little dusty but you could still see the dusky whalers through the haze 🙂
‘The Coulters’ swam close to shore to collect data for the blog and as they got closer to Shelly they got whisked along in the current. They saw a ginormous blue and a smaller southern brown grouper, a Maori wrasse, two flatheads one little and one large!
They also both featured in lost and found: Stephen lost his pink cap in a little wave and Neil Cowin proudly swam in having rescued a lone cap, so Stephen and his cap have been reunited 🙂
Lesley lost her sock… some guy found it, apparently in a different location… ! 🙂
Good luck to all the B&B swimmers in the fun run today, we enjoyed watching you run past as we were drinking coffee…
Good luck to all the B&B swimmers going for their surf lifesaving gold medallion today too !!
Water Temperature 19.7 degrees.
Sunrise 6.45am.
Sunset 4.59pm.
Low Tide: 6.15am.
High Tide: 12.15pm.

I’m thrilled to let you know that Thor Slater, Andrew Parkinson and Julie Kremer got their Gold Medallion this morning and Jen Brown and Bec Crawford became proficient. Well done to you all, congratulations on your awesome achievement !!

If anyone has access to a photo of the dead Dusky Whaler, showing the hook in its mouth, could you let me know? The OzMus Fish Dept. is looking for evidence of marine life killed or injured by rubbish and debris in the water. So any such images you can offer would be great.

The Goodwin and I felt bad for not turning up for the 7am swim so we just went out for a 3pm swim instead (without wetsuits)
It was COLD, CHOPPY & CLOUDY
Saw a big big big fish head floating on the surface by the point, I spent the next 20 minutes wondering where his body had gone….needless to say it was a fast swim to shelly and back.

Big congratulations on the Gold medallions guys! I’m very impressed and keen to have a go next season with a bit more swim training.
You guys rock!
