58 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
5 people did a bonus early swim this morning; Aelwyn Norton, David Adams, Iain McGregor, James Goins & Michael Christie, thanks for making sure there was a female presence this morning Aelwyn 😉
Well I reckon this morning was the first ice-cream headache of the season, it was certainly my first ice-cream headache this winter, but it’s so beautiful and as soon as you get to the point you’ve climatised at it’s really quite fine 🙂
More fantastic photos courtesy of James Goins this morning including a great photo taken at Shelly Beach from the first lap with the moon – lovely 🙂
Elaine Kindred picked up stragglers as she drove to swimming this morning… Elaine saw Jade Harkness walking along in her wetsuit so stopped and asked her if she was a swimmer, which of course she is, so Elaine gave her a lift, now that is team spirit, love it 🙂
I have promised the group I will buy Michael Christie some Ugg Boots today so he doesn’t make everyone feel uncomfortable as he shivers his way through coffee 😉
Bonus lap on offer again at 6.20am tomorrow, any takers ??
A spare room has become available in our accommodation on Magnetic Island, so if anyone was thinking of coming but hasn’t booked anything yet please let us know as Brendan Maher has very kindly said you would be welcome to join us 🙂

6 degrees, uhmm, I don’t think we will need to worry about that here this winter, I certainly hope not anyway !
Looks like a fun boot camp though… maybe you should attend Gaetan, you can then train us all when you get back 🙂

Repeating my late post from yesterday…
Goggle fitting guide from Zoggs….
Hi. I’m the UK Marketing Manager for Zoggs in the UK.
This is our simple 3 point guide
1. SEAL – To test the fit you should firstly apply the goggle to the face without the strap in place and test the seal the goggle provides. It is a myth that tightening the strap will ensure your goggles give a good fit.
2. FIT – Once you have found a good seal you should fit the headstrap by careful adjustment. The goggle should sit comfortably around the nose and create a good seal. The seal around the corner of the eye should sit comfortably and not wrap too far around the corner of the eye.
3. STYLE – Check how you look in the mirror! We always recommend trying 2-3 different models, this will help you compare fit, comfort and will validate your purchase decision.
A goggle fitting video can be found on facebook.com/zoggsuk
As far as Zoggs is concerned we have many goggles for you to try but I suggest you try Predator Flex which has flexible points around the nose and eyes or Fusion Air which is a lower profile goggle that has an air cushion seal for extra comfort and reduces around the eye marking.

Apologies that I have not put today’s attendance up. The web server is playing up a bit, so I will do it as soon as able. Until then it will continue showing yesterday’s attendance.

Can anyone recommend a pair of goggles? or is it really just down to trying them out for fit and seal etc? Anyone got the Predator Flex of Fusion Air models that are mentioned? thanks

Hey Michael, sorry about that (I noticed you had typed them in!), the attendance sheet hosting site does have bad days when connection becomes intermittent. Unfortunately the support team at GoDaddy don’t know what causes this… I’ll just have to change provider when the year’s up and find a better one.

Thanks Magnus. It does seem to be slowly recovering. Hopefully it will be fine by morning.

Hi Rob
I swear by View googles – for me they are the best.
