Over 106 Bold & Beautiful swimmers !
6 swimmers enjoyed a gorgeous early swim up to Queensie at 6am this morning making it back in time to join us in the regular Shelly swim 🙂

A superb swim it was too. Alex saw two lovely Eagle Rays just he was swimming back into the beach from the early swim, then Anna saw three of them gliding along at the end of the Shelly swim.
Lots of people saw the beautiful Shovel Nosed Shark just off the point, around the same place he was spotted yesterday and Fiona saw her most peaceful, graceful Dusky yet. Sadly for us they didn’t swim past the camera so there’s no photos 🙁

There’s lots happening and about to happen at the moment…
Good luck to the ‘Wall of Thought’ (Maureen, Annette and Nicolee) this weekend with their entries in the Kangaroo Valley Show, bring us home some medals 😉
Good luck to everyone in the Jervis Bay Triathlons this weekend, more medals please 😉
It’s only one week tomorrow until The Rottnest Channel Swim !! Good luck to Ben and Brendan who are both swimming solo !! No stopping till you touch that sand at Thomson Bay 🙂 Do we have other swimmers participating in it ??

Thanks to Mary Stollery; Cathie, Patrick, Michael and I went to the opening night of Every Single Saturday last night at Glenn St Theatre and it was absolutely fantastic !! Seriously, well worth a visit and you wont be disappointed. It’s a musical, but if you’re not a musical lover don’t be deterred as even Michael, the chief musical objector, thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s only showing until 26th Feb so don’t miss it. Mention the magic word ‘Beautiful’ when you book and receive B&B’s fabulous discount, making it only $49 a ticket which includes a drink !!
The 2012 Alcatraz Swim is on 8th September and registrations have just opened, so if you’re keen, check it out here. One of our swimmers, Scott Graeber, aka Scooter, lives in the US, has swum the swim and is very happy to discuss and help with logistics for any of our swimmers who are interested in giving it a go. So if that’s you please let me know and I will put you in touch 🙂
Happy birthday to Gaetan Guilhon today !! 🙂

What a beautiful swim!! So happy.
I cleverly navigated my way back by keeping track of Yasmin’s charming little knobby head poking up out of the water. Thanks Yas.
And GOOD LUCK BRENDAN and Ben.

I must confess the Key West swim appeals to me… slightly more pleasant conditions for swimming stateside!

A few of us went up to the Glen Street Theatre last night to see the show “Every Single Saturday.”
It was a really great show. Very professional. Very well written. Amusing. Very well produced and performed. You won’t see a better show anywhere.
On top of all that you get a discount and a free drink for mentioning B&B!
GO AND SEE IT! Its a great show.

Thanks Jules/Fiona,It’s been hard sticking to my plan of going into the pool for the last 3 weeks’ training when I keep reading about the beautiful conditions at Manly. 9x300m main set this morning being continuously lapped by Anna Torok and Millie Joseph. Anyway, back at Manly for the 6k tomorrow, then the taper starts. Woo hoo!

I reckon Jules pestered you to ‘write something on the blog about the musical; I’ve just posted how much you loved it and no-one will believe me. So get writing and make it sound like you mean it or I’ll give your dinner to the cat’

Re the rays: Cae saw them too and described how they “did their flappy thing” in front of him; Alex went one better and gave me a visual demo in the changing rooms. And to think I’m going out with one of these oddballs on Saturday night, and the other advised me over breakfast that “foot massage and brushing your wife’s hair” are the secret to a long and happy marriage.

Oh how lovely to hear that Julie and Michael have a cat! Sorry Miles, but I actually think Michael is sincere about the show. At the end of the performance I was expecting a “…thanks that was nice” but he kept telling me how much he enjoyed it!!

and to think i was being nice to you this morning by not posting the photo of Yasmin carrying you around… 😉

yeah, again I say no-one would believe you. It’s amazing what you can do with Photoshop 🙂 Go ahead, publish and be damned Pink Woman of the Waves, see if you fool anyone. Come to think of it Jules, some of your fishy ‘wildlife’ photos look a bit suspect. That weedy sea-dragon thing, not a real fish at all, just a bit of snot.
Still, I’m glad you all had a nice time at the theatre. If you even went.

Glad you had a lovely time Mary. But don’t let Jules & Michael dupe you about their cat. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were fibbing about even having one. I got one earlier this week but it’s been missing since Wednesday. Bet I know where it’s gone.

Hint: I’m not a foot masseur!
Miles: I hope Alex was dressed (or at least in underwear) when demonstrating the ray wave to you… or was his stinger showing???

mate when he started gyrating I didn’t know where to look, he could’ve been wearing one of Kylie’s show costumes for all I knew. I do remember when I walked out I heard some guy say ‘has someone left their pink undies on the floor?’ But by then I knew I needed some fresh air.

Jeeez don’t get Michael started on cats! I think you will find they don’t have one and yes Miles, there’s a chance Michael put a ‘Hit’ on yours..I have to keep mine hidden from men wearing pink budgies 😉

Mainly becase it was getting too dark to swim up to Queensie at 5.50 every morning and I’m not quick enough to leave later and get back in time. Also, i wanted to do some fresh water swimming so I’d feel more buoyant at Rotto.

Thanks Cathie and thanks Julie! I just checked my email and a few people emailed me saying that according to the blog it was my birthday 🙂
I’ll be back in Sydney on sunday evening, see you all on monday, I did enjoy the cold weather in Europe but will not miss it for sure 😉
I have not read the blog for a while so I have just saved the last 2 weeks on my laptop to read on the plane tomorrow 🙂
