18 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
The sea was actually a little gentler than yesterday so the majority of us went out through the surf.
A little murky but we saw a couple of blue groupers, dusky whalers and a red morwong 🙂
Four terrific photos courtesy of Gaetan Guilhon this morning, thanks Gaetan.
Thankfully the majority of us decided to swim back to half way as when Andrew Thomas, John Masters, Michael Christie,
Midge Castle and Stephen Coulter came back in through the surf they coped a monster set. John was right in the dump zone so he had to dive DEEP, the others saw it coming, well at least Midge did so she warned them so they bolted back out to sea and waited for the set to pass.
A couple of photos of Michael, Midge and Stephen walking back post trauma 🙂

Great photos Gaetan!! You may be in the wrong game.
Water temp is 19.8c [19.9c offshore on MHL] It was reasonably clear and the surf is going to drop. As well as this it is going to be SUNNY for about the next week!! Real classic winter type swimming without the cold.

It’s nice and sunny in Fiji at the moment! not great sea swimming though …early (pre kids) pool swims just aren’t the same!

The water was beautiful this morning – an icey blue colour without the cold (and I’m swimming without a wetsuit) and it surprisingly pretty clear! Was the best winter swim for me so far (from half way point mind you…)
For Solstice swim how about men and women swapping cozzies? Well maybe Men wearing women’s?? hahahahaha…mmmmmmm
