Popular Saturday with 170 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Sorry if we woke up any residents at the Bower with our cackle and laughter, we just couldn’t help ourselves despite the cloudy morning.

The sun must’ve heard us, because it came out to join in the fun as we waited off the point. The point seems to get caught in a rip every morning, though. Maybe we should ask the Council to paint us a pink starting line at the bottom of the sea.

28 keen swimmers continued on for the 6km swim up to Freshie and back. Amongst them were two of the originals – Cynthia and Deb for their first 6km swim. Well done ladies, you are capable of anything, as proven by the fact you both hurried off to a boxing class without brekky in between. Impressed.

The ocean was relatively choppy in the bay, but nothing compared to the big swell and persistent chop from North Steyne to Freshie. On the way back, everybody tends to spread out, and some of us managed to swim across the Bombora, visible as a dark reef underneath. No major dramas though.

Great shots today, Anna!!
They are all so good and they really demonstrate the ‘fun’ feeling we have during our adventure swims. I LOVE the shot of the five girls in front of North Steyne, basking in the sun! Hmmm .. just wondering whey Jenny is concentrating so much.

Does anyone know where I can pick up an underwater camera leash? No luck at camera house, paxtons or dripping wet…..

Dang I missed it again. This mythical ‘bombora’ you might as well call Atlantis it’s a bit of a fable I reckon. What is it, a big rock or a reef like out of Finding Nemo? Nice photos Anna but next time maybe dive down deep and make like Jacques Cousteau….
Well done to the new girls Cynthia & Deb, it’s a lovely swim isn’t it?
