Over 63 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Another stunning sunrise this morning closely followed by another beautiful swim with flatheads, fiddler rays, sting rays, dusky whalers et al.
Badge ceremony this Saturday morning after the swim at Manly Wine, everyone is welcome. If you didn’t qualify for a summer badge come down and congratulate your friends who did and get inspired for the next badge 🙂
Happy 50th birthday to Jim Stackpool.
We’re got lots of our international visitors swimming at the moment which is great.
- Mark Fewell is over from the US 🙂
- Steve Clements has just returned to NZ after his annual week’s visit 🙂
- Margie, our Suisse blogger is in Manly, soooo Margi we can look forward to seeing you for a swim tomorrow… ! 🙂
- We’ve enjoyed our bonus visit from Julia Baird as she has swung in for a flying visit. Safe trip back to Philidelphia today Julia.
I’m sure there are others who I’ve missed too, my apologies for that, but feel free to comment and remind me… 🙂 We look forward to the next visit from each of you 🙂
Now check this out for dedication, a message from Bella Wakes-Miller from her hospital bed:
“As you know I swam on Tuesday am, my regular weekly slot. Had been having excruciating cramps in stomach since 3am that morning but didn’t want to let Laura or Duncan down (or potentially miss out on more dolphin action!) Swam through pain distracted by usual thoughts of surf/sharks/survival in general then realized how bad the pain was when I got in the car. By lunchtime I was admitted to Manly Hospital and by Wednesday afternoon they had whipped out my appendix! Was hoping to get photo of me in gown, on drip etc with B&B hat on for the blog but only had one brief visit from Dunc and boys before they’d been home to collect requested hat. Anyway, thought you’d appreciate my dedication swimming through the pain of appendicitis and now on total exercise ban for two weeks – bummer!
Look forward to getting back in the swim, love Bella.”
Get well soon Bella !! We miss you already ! Now that’s what I call committment and loving B&B, a great story for the book :-). Talking of which, don’t forget to get your B&B stories in to me PLEASE. All stories welcome no matter how small or long, they are all unique and relevant so please don’t be shy…

Beautiful again this morning as predicted, although not as sunny as MSW said it would be.
I have to say; myself and Sheri and Jenny M were all travelling along in a gliding fashion like a couple of Esther Williams and the water ballet troupe. Who should stay alongside but someone who looked very much like Nick TB!! OMG!! It was Nick!! Congratulations Nick on a HUGE improvement in pace and style.

It is all because of Julies Tuition. Thanks Jules. And to finally figuring out how to swim in a straight line ;0)

Cant wait to see the real B&B in action very soon! Im not sure if my white lily white hiking thighs will be a blessing or a curse for attracting sharks……
