89 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Back to normal… beautiful blue bottle free swimming into Shelly Beach and back this morning – yippee !!
Welcome to all our first timers this morning too, there were 11 new swimmers including David Gibson’s daughter, Eve Gibson and Jon McKenzies three children.
8 people continued on for a double lap to Shelly and back and Collie Kinsela and Ben Hutt continued on with multiple laps of Manly to Queensie and back with Iain McGregor acompanying them for one as they are all training for their various upcoming channel crossings…
One of the many great things about B&B is that it includes absolutely everyone; with wifes, husbands, tiny babies, young children, grandparents and the like all participating, as it doesn’t matter if you don’t swim, everyone can come down to join in the fun by being there for the pre and post gathering, a stroll along the walkway as we swim or the ever entertaining mandatory well earned apres swim coffee. We had all of the above present this morning adding to the great vibe, love it !!
Bolderdash is on tomorrow at 5.50am. Debbie van Otter Hanson, Cyn Alley, Jon Lonergan and Greg Poole have all comitted to make Wednesday morning their first Bolderdash, fantastic guys, you’ll love it. Who else is gonna give it a go and join the brave adventurers for an early swim to Queenscliff and back (3km) ?
There are a couple of amazing photos of a flathead below from Gaetan Guilhon’s snorkel yesterday, plus one of a crayfish. Love the flathead, they are outstanding photos Gaetan, thank you for sharing them.
Tim’s fact of the day: “Seahorses are the only animals in the entire animal kingdom in which the male has babies. The female seahorse deposits the eggs into the male’s small pouch, these eggs are then fertilized by the male.” Love today’s fact !!
Happy birthday to Michael Appleby today !

Crap.. That above was from zorka not me… And she lied to me and said she could swim like a dolphin more like a sea slug dying and I had to abandon my swim half way! 🙂

Anyone interested in music tonight? One of my yoga friends told me there’s a great band at Moonshine at the Steyne tonight at 7:30 – OKA. Read about them here, http://www.facebook.com/okamusic?sk=info or here http://okamusic.com/PRESS.html
Rootsy, chill, folk – good Balderdash preparation!!!
