03/01/2012 – Sun Chop

January 3, 20126

Over 120 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

660 individuals have swum at least once in the last 3 weeks !!!

Holiday’s must be over as our distance deamons are back in action; Gaetan & James set off at 5.25 for Freshie and Miles & Mark caught them up at Queensie headland after jumping in at 5.50am 🙂

The sun’s out, the skies are blue and the water is even warmer, but there was plenty of chop around this morning to keep the swim interesting.

Thankfully, despite the raging noreasterlies there were no bluies – they must still be on holidays…

Forgot to mention yesterday; the underwater photo of the swimmer on Sunday, New Years Day was Gab Stokes 🙂

Who’s feet are these today creating a protective layer around themselves ?

A lovely photo of the Maher Brothers after the swim, John finally gave in and joined us for a swim, rewarding Brendan for his constant encouragement 😉

Just to let you know unfortunately Bruce Paterson has been admitted to Manly hospital. He will be transferred to a ward where he can receive visitors shortly. It is expected that he will be in there for ~5 days.
We are all wishing you well and back home soon Bruce.
