There was so much to celebrate today. Everyone I spoke to, seemed to have a really fantastic reason to be happy. With a stunning red sunrise introducing a perfect, cloudless, blue-sky morning how could we not be feeling energised. The water temperature felt like it was back over 17 degrees, the clarity was once again allowing us to see the multitude of marine life and the bay had returned to its calm, welcoming, tranquil appearance. After a cool start the sunshine really did help to take the chill off as we all got to the point.
Dolphin whisperer Shaun is celebrating the return of his marine friends. He was channeling his sonar communication skills to entice them to return to the bay today. Skillfully assisted by Shelley and Roz.
Alex was celebrating the beautiful morning with her mum Jill.
Nat and Dorset were celebrating colour. Nat is pretty happy that after 3 1/2 weeks of her whole family being sick, everyone is on the mend.
There were lots of groups just celebrating friendship:-
Shelley, Guy, Shaun and Edwina
Jane with Max, Lainey and Sooze
Ian and Kelly
Guy, Sue and Todd
Kelly gets lots of birthday hugs and wishes from the A team. Happy Birthday Kelly I hope you have a fantastic celebration.
Cousins, Sophie and Louise were celebrating their Granny’s 96th birthday with a swim. After which they were going to celebrate with her and drink Sherry. Perfect way to help Granny celebrate her big day.
Di is celebrating her 20th WWW swim today. Congratulations Di! Amazing effort! There will be no stopping you now! Jac wasn’t celebrating so much today as she had to go to the dentist to get some fillings after the swim.
Mates Celebrating mateship
Philip and Todd
Charl with his gorgeous wife Kerrie and Matt
I think Rainer celebrates everything. His whole life is a celebration. But I know in this photo he is celebrating his unique photo bombing skills behind Melise, Louise, Shelley, Georgina, Jacqui and Jane.
Celebrations at the Point
There was a smaller but just as excited group at Shelly today
Lisa and David
Jo and Ian
Kelly’s birthday celebrations B and B style
Gorgeous Alex shows calm serenity when she celebrates……..
……..Not unlike Georgina, Jane, Monica and Jacqui.
There has been so much excitement and fanfare of late over the wonderful large marine creatures that have visited the bay, so I thought I would put the spotlight back on to two of our old favourites. Our constant swimming buddies year in, year out.
Mel and David celebrating LIFE …..and the fact that they are feeling fit and healthy, unlike poor Holly who couldn’t make it to the swim. I hope you feel better soon Holly.
Louise isn’t celebrating at all. She is missing Michael too much.
The Wow’s all had something to celebrate, whether it was looking forward to going overseas, happy to be home from overseas, grateful to be feeling well again, ecstatic not to be at work, jubilant at achieving a hard earned goal, or blissfully loving being a new granny . I was just celebrating the sun on my back and the warmth and love of everyone around me.
Paul, Brian, Tom, Sam, Guy and Danny celebrating the fact it is shorts weather.
Suzy, Janet and John celebrating with coffee.
There is always something worth celebrating. Big or small, it’s a way to acknowledge gratitude for those around us and the people and customs we hold dear. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Mmmm I do enjoy a pre-prandial sherry, 96th birthday celebration or nay.
Rainer! Excellent work – the blog is the only time I caught sight of him today and there he is behind me, armpits akimbo. How does he do it?
Thanks for all the warm fuzzies Lisa, you’re a treasure.

Another beautiful, happy, inclusive blog again Lisa. Love the Rainer photobomb photo the best I think with that early morning sunshine on the Wows!

.. and Rainer managed to play a part in my ‘celebrations’ in a hotel pool in Bangkok too! I was wearing my B&B cap (as one does when travelling!) and a lady came up to ask me if I was from Manly. Turns out she is a close friend of American Jen and knows Rainer too (of course!) Her names’ Lesley and she lives in Freshwater and promises to join us swimming on return!
xx
