It was buzzing this morning for the 7am Bold and Beautiful swim, buzzing because many are on holidays and are fulfilling their New Years resolutions by swimming with us, but also as we had two grey nurse sharks hanging around the point.
The grey nurse is relatively dosile and we are very fortunate to have some as regular visitors to Cabbage Tree Bay. Unfortunately the underwater camera wasn’t working today so wasn’t able to get any images but plenty of people did get to experience it.
While the old-hand swimmers couldn’t wait to get in an have a look at our lovely visitors, those new to swimming with us felt a little anxious – despite several swimmers trying to calm the nerves.
There was barely any room on the wall and Anne had her hands full welcoming more than 26 new swimmers.
