Special Moments of Joy

With the crises of recent weeks, we all grow closer. Many questions on why. Theories (my sharkbanz is either a deterrent or an attractor depending on your point of view). Wishful thinking has swapped axis, less fish, colder temperatures, bigger groups, less salt water therapy.So what’s the point if you dont love it all. The stranger you pass on the walk down. Every feeling you have, every boring, loud, soft, fleeting thing we face. The sun that rises on us. The laughter, the bellyache, the joy, the grief, the confusion. We are so lucky and so privileged to be here at all.

Beauty is not a shape, love is not a transaction. I had a conversation with a friend this week. About depth and connection and love. Because our beach is not just a place to swim. It is also a place our community comes together.

So we don our caps and goggles, gather at the top and walk down the ramp together. Yes rattled a bit in the last fortnight. But every sweet, special moment, every honey drip of joy, we are going to lap up, starting now…

Baby Spices FFF report

Gommo kicked things off with her weekly instalment of “So I was having a conversation with my boyfriend…” a recurring series we’re all emotionally invested in. Taipan dropped trivia gold, informing us that when Emmanuel Macron sits down for family dinner, he is the youngest person at the table. Tiny Tots arrived debuting his biannual haircut. Sharp, aerodynamic.

Kitty absolutely smashed Fast Five, wizzing past boomers, collecting wins and earning herself the official title of Pocket Rocket Champion of the Week. Spielberg made his ranting debut, stepping into his new role with strong delivery, dramatic pacing, and a director’s cut still to come. Consiglieri enforced justice by doling out push-up punishments to jammer wearers, reminding everyone this is a budgies-only crew, tight margins, tighter friendships.

And finally… CAKE. Because it’s Suzie’s birthday! Happy Birthday!
