Today I came down to the swim dressed for work rather than to get in the water, and it was actually quite lovely to be seen in a new light, rather than looking like some kind of sea creature that has been lying on the rocks before emerging from the ocean! 😂
Sometimes our schedules just don’t quite align with swimming, but that doesn’t mean we miss out on what makes this place so special. There’s something wonderful about simply coming down, watching the swimmers, seeing the sunrise, listening to the waves and catching those familiar smiles. It’s such a beautiful way to start the day.
It was especially lovely to see some faces who have been away for a while (welcome back Amanda), as well as friends we simply haven’t managed to cross paths with recently (Nat, Stew & Lish). Those little moments of connection are such an important part of our community.

And then there’s the incredible joy I get from the Manly Point Café crew. ☕️💙 There’s always such a great energy down there – fresh faces, big smiles, people catching up and celebrating each other.
Today was extra special with it being Driver’s birthday, and it was just lovely seeing everyone in such a happy, celebratory mood.

Those little moments of joy really do make the morning.
And today… the ocean is looking extraordinary. 🌊 The visibility looks incredible, with those big rolling waves followed by moments of complete lull. It’s absolutely stunning – the kind of morning that makes you desperately want to get in!
Even when we’re not swimming, there’s something magical about being here. The ocean, the sunrise, the waves, the café crew, the swimmers and all the familiar faces – it’s the kind of place that can lift your spirits before the day has even properly begun.

Here’s to good people, good vibes, celebrations and the beautiful community that keeps bringing us back.
Happy Tuesday, B&B! 🏊♀️🌅☕️
Deb 💙
