Personal Best

October 4, 20196

Swimming is such a fabulous individual activity. It is so extra that in BB you can do it with other people nearby. Today one of our group clocked up his personal best – John Bond hit 5000 km. So many people joined in his celebration but were also enjoying their own swim in the glorious conditions today.

Congratulations John – To Infinity and Bond!

Here he is with Brian

The Next B&B monthly dinner for the year will be held on Tuesday 8th October at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. Our guest on the night will be Local Manly physiotherapist, Jim BurkeJim will speak about shoulder injuries in swimmers. He will cover a brief outline of the mechanics of the shoulder as well as common causes of injury and a few stretches and exercises that may help prevent shoulder injuries.

Please book early for this event as it is sure to be popular. The cost of the dinner is great value at only $25 a head, which includes shared entrees, and a selection of mains to choose from (including a vegetarian option). Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each. Numbers are limited, so bookings are essential. To avoid disappointment and secure your spot please book at www.boldandbeautifulmanly.com.au/bb-bluewater-monthly-dinner.html

Cake Stall

In response to the ever-worsening crisis our farmers are in, we are holding a cake stall next Saturday morning 5th Oct.

We’d really appreciate donations of goodies to sell and we will also be accepting cash donations. Proceeds will be donated to  “Drought Angels”

So get baking and bring in some goodies to sell and/or money to buy some yummy treats for the long weekend!
You can drop off after 6.15am on Saturday.

Thanks in advance for your support!

What I am reading

Serpent pool by Martin Edwards – it is in my Lake District series of crime novels which I want to finish now that I have started – but maybe I should check how many there are. The earlier books were not so soppy as this one
