Monday 19th February 2017 – You never know who you are swimming with

20/02/201718

You never know who you are swimming with at the B& B until you ask.

I swim at 6am most mornings with Suzie and Dave. I see them wet.

I see them dry and then they disappear.

But this morning I found out they are both keen surf ski racers – they prefer 24km ocean races – e.g. Ulladulla classic last weekend.

Furthermore,  Suzie is the Club Psychologist at Sydney Swans!

Pauline (#1 Swans supporter) have you met Suzie??

6am pink shirts warmup.

Happy 36th Tim!

But the Ghost won today’s race. Check out the huge suck-ins.

Staying safe
Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits.  Also, if you have a bit more experience, keep an eye out for new swimmers who might need company. Wonderfully insightful blog, Simon, with your comments regarding learning of the lives of our fellow swimmers, particularly your featuring Suzie and Dave’s “extra-curricular” pursuits.
Coincidentally, I only emailed Edwina a short time ago and mentioned “I do enjoy hearing about people’s lives outside of B&B. So many people with interesting and exciting plans and passions beyond their swimming.”
As much as we all love the swimming, the ocean and the fish, B&B is so much about the people.
    Thanks.

Interesting blog Simon. So many of our swimmers work up at Manly hospital we know we’ll be in safe hands up there! Beautiful morning!
