BOLD & BEAUTIFUL IS NOT CURRENTLY RUNNING DUE TO THE RISKS OF CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19). IT IS IMPORTANT TO CONTINUE PHYSICAL DISTANCING AND FOLLOW PUBLIC HEALTH ADVICE.
Driving to Manly this morning, Fat Boy Slim’s trippy song ‘Eat Sleep Rave Repeat’ came on the radio. The lyrics got stuck in my head and whether you like the song or not, they are not very useful for us swimmers! If this happens to you any time soon, I’ve come up with some replacement words that might help! ‘Reach, pull, breath, repeat! Reach pull breath repeat! Reach pull breath repeat!’ (hope no-one drowns 😳)

Out past the waves near the point it was lovely, calm and clear but that changed on the way to Shelly where it got quite bumpy. Fi said she was feeling sea sick! Thanks Lainey for all the water shots!
The temperature wall said 16.1 today but with all the post swim chatter and shivering, it may have been a tad cooler!
…though probably not as cold as Greg thinks it is! He looks like he’s preparing for another expedition to Everest!
Tamara and Peter (hopefully I’ve got your correct names!) have been swimming for ages and were not perturbed by the cold.
Trudy (right) has just moved back to Sydney from Canberra and Clare bought her down for her very first swim! Given her reaction I think she’s already a big fan!
Nothing like post swim chats and warm beverages before diving into the day! (hopefully not into the shallow end)
These guys reckon there was a flying saucer whizzing past. I think they were having a lend of me.
Cathy didn’t swim this morning but was enjoying a cuppa nonetheless!
Cheryl and Cath have recently come back from Lady Elliot Island where only recently a 4 metre Great White was spotted by a snorkeller- apparently the second sighting in 25 years. They were very relieved they weren’t there at the time!
Creative police, Roger, was insistent that more creative photos were added to the blog – so Louise was turned into a possum and Cath was turned inside out to get these magnificent photos!
Last but not least, never mess with a German as they will tell you off in words as long as the alphabet! If you get a chance, ask Cath Morganheissenschiessenjagermeister Schmelzer how she met her husband! It’s priceless. And whatever you do, don’t get the words schiessen and scheissen mixed up. One means “to shoot’ and the other means “to sh*t”
Happy hump day and stay safe.
Message from management:
Please remember to continue social distancing and be mindful of not congregating outside MSLC in large groups.
Government regulations still require us to keep 1.5m away from each other unless you live in same house,
We appreciate that you want to chat to your friends and socialise but we need your help to make sure we comply with these regulations before we are forced to introduce more onerous restrictions.
With that in mind we ask that you respect your fellow swimmers and members of the public in the following manner:
•Please start leaving bags and gear on the beach or step at below the ramp rather than outside MSLC
•Keep at least 1.5m apart before, during and after all swims.
•Arrive, complete your swim and leave.. If you are having coffee or socialising please do so away from the MSLC
•Consider swimming at different times to keep the number of people congregating at MSLC to a minimum.
Thanks for your cooperation

Lively blog, Lucy. Apparently you don’t have to wear a mask if you get onboard one of those flying saucers and they take you to a Covid-free planet.

Lively is putting it politely… I don’t know what you’ve been inhaling, ingesting or imbibing, woman, but I recommend you align your dial with Radio National pretty pronto before the trips become all too real and freaky.
Quite a saucy swim, otherwise.
