What a cracking start to the day! We all arrived to a very calm and clear morning down in our little corner of paradise!
After some 18 degree + days I’ve made the transition from wetsuit back into speedos. Dave and Sterling informed me on my arrival that it was a balmy 18.2 degrees in the water…
But I’z was tricked! As I walked past the board of knowledge it sad 16.7 degrees… brrr – that must be one of the coldest mornings we’ve had all year! Thanks Daaaaaave…
Bruce the friendly giant is a constant happy presence and source of wisdom down at the swim.
To make matters worse, Sterling started splashing people on the walk into the water… hath he no shame!
Post swim lingering…. despite the cool conditions it was actually very pleasant in the drink. First out of the water this morning… the Ghost!
Finally a big congratulations to Buck, whose team came first in their age group and second overall in the Hawaii Island crossing swim! In past years they have been circled by sharks. Good to see him representing the A-team internationally!
