BOLD & BEAUTIFUL IS NOT CURRENTLY MEETING DUE TO THE CONTINUED RISK OF COVID-19. IT IS IMPORTANT TO CONTINUE PHYSICAL DISTANCING AND FOLLOW PUBLIC HEALTH ADVICE. THANK YOU FOR SWIMMING AT DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE DAY.
Above the calm and quiet of the ocean and rain showers on a misty morning there was the buzz of nervous chatter amongst the early morning swimmers. Shall we go or shall we stay and have a welcome hot coffee? Most agreed, set off, swim close and keep an eye on a friend. It was the news report from the previous evening that had precipitated both anxiety and excitement. The report of a 3m white shark of Shelly beach, ocean side of the Bower break last evening. The second report within a few days.
Well the call of the ocean was too great for most of us as evidenced by the smiling faces of swimmers seen below
Lainey who is your regular Tuesday blogger and fabulous marine animal spotter and photographer ready for a quick swim before heading to work. Dave who is a regular early morning swimmer took the plunge
Josh and Dave undaunted by yesterday’s news reports
Lee, Matthew and Mel returned safely and loved their swim today .
Still a bit of a rip at the Point
Early morning swimmers braving it
Is this you swimming from Fairy Bower
And again, swimming into the beautiful calm bay
Thanks to FI for spotting a turtle hiding in the sea grasses today and taking these amazing photos with my camera.
