Great to be back blogging after a long break. You can blame Deane and Anne for getting me back. A great mate reminded me this morning about one of the secrets to happiness. ‘It’s about miracles’ he explained. ‘Some people wait for big biblical miracles but I experience them all the time.’ Now this is...

The water was surprisingly flat, warm and clear this morning after a night of heavy rain so there was a lot of excitement in the air!!  The beach was open, flags were up and all was good with the world! But once showered, with coffee in hands, the flags disappeared! 😳 The beach was closed...

It’s a tough gig to follow up on the incredible blog that Lainy posted yesterday… so much amazing sea life!! Let’s give it a go! A happy new year to the BB swim team. I hope you all had a lovely break and are feeling refreshed and ready to take on 2021. No doubt it’s...

Great conditions for today’s swim! The sky was brighter, water warm, no Blueys and visibility not too bad. Photo of Lauren taken Sunday over Bower rocks! Even with Covid restrictions we must admit we’ve still had a fantastic year of swimming in Cabbage Tree Bay! We’ve had more Turtles and Grey Nurse sightings than ever before. By staggering our swim times and breaking into smaller groups new friendships have formed. We now have...

Quite muggy this morning, a change from yesterday’s sunshine – it seems the weather person is getting it right. Shaun and Veena – Veena said there was so much seaweed in the shallows that she struggled to get her flippers off. Note to self, there seems to be less weed at the flags. Speaking of...
