19/03/2016 – A nip in the air…and in the water?

Really? Really?? REALLY??? The water’s a whole THREE degrees lower than yesterday? Impossible! What’s going on?????……we asked ourselves this morning as we gawped at the white board.

 

But darkness and cooler waters were never going to stop the 6.30am crowd….

While Lainey (aka The Fish Whisperer) lead a little snorkel safari to seek out the amazing inhabitants of this exquisite corner of the world, starting with a bevy of 5-6 elegant, graceful duskies:

 

Clear waters and Lainey’s expert guidance lead us through shoals of batfish, bream, mado, sweep, hula fish, old wives, and the occasional wrasse & groper. Lainey even spotted a well-camouflaged Sergeant Baker hiding on a rock:

Then back on dry land after yet another incredible start to the day in Cabbage Tree Bay:
