Really? Really?? REALLY??? The water’s a whole THREE degrees lower than yesterday? Impossible! What’s going on?????……we asked ourselves this morning as we gawped at the white board.
But darkness and cooler waters were never going to stop the 6.30am crowd….

Clear waters and Lainey’s expert guidance lead us through shoals of batfish, bream, mado, sweep, hula fish, old wives, and the occasional wrasse & groper. Lainey even spotted a well-camouflaged Sergeant Baker hiding on a rock:

Lovely blog Mary and thanks for the mention! How fantastic was it to have the clear water back and it’s supposed to stay clear until Wednesday (or so James Goins told me, with the Southerlies.) Loved our ‘Snorkel Safari’ Mary. I have got a couple of great photos of you with the Mados over ‘Butterfly Rock’. (Alanna Skelly named it that.) My email is info@whalebeachbandb.com.au send me yours and I’ll email them. 🙂
